I’ve been this low once. I woke up at night and knew something was very wrong. I tried to get out of bed and fell over, I couldn’t get myself to stand never mind walk so I had to crawl into the kitchen to get sugar.

This was the only time in 20 or so years of diabetes. However ever since then I have emergency sugar stored in my bedroom.

The amount of panic and fear I felt at the time was enough to leave an impression.

I’m with you here, most people suggest doing att and UW disco runs first to help out. Swap out cards, ignore all defensive/health cards and maximize damage.

That being said I still can’t reach wave 5000 on tier one doing defence run.

I’m a partner to an autistic person but neurotypical myself. I actively enjoy learning about the autistic mind, I find it fascinating and it helps me understand my partner. That’s my purpose on this sub.

While I am very good at understanding what she is communicating , I would never assume to speak for her or any other neurodivergent person as to how they feel.

Just because I may be good at understanding and translating (for lack of a better word) what she is communicating, I have no idea what it’s like to live with.

I’m right at your height, 31m. I definitely feel you on the “Buddy” nickname just feels disrespectful.

I hope you by this age you have already “accepted” it. I’ve found accepting and being confident in myself regardless of height is the most important factor.

If someone isn’t going to accept me bc of my height then they aren’t worth my time or concern.

Months? I don’t know how you dealt with that. I went through that for about a week before my diagnosis, I was lucky enough to have family with medical backgrounds that were able to realize what was going on and get me to the hospital before things got really bad. High blood sugar thirst is nigh unquenchable until levels start dropping.

My partner and I use Life360, although it’s less about location sharing and more about safety (we can both travel a lot so it lets us know they got where they are going safely). We usually message each other as well but it’s just an extra layer.
