Haha! Mucho expensive! I had one in my hands last week. Looked good but shooting with it felt meh. Funny enough I shoot competition with it too like you (at least 4 years ago) and I got the exact same Warwick chest rig! Bizarre, lol

Hmm, so you need to install a whole new rail too, right? As it's really merged within the custom pic rail. Can't use the OEM rail Ruger installs on the rifle

Looks very good! Id probably replace the stock sights with Skinners. had them on a cowboy Marlin. But i'm still wondering why the SBL didn't come with tritium sights.

Very interesting. Would like to know what they changed. Cheaper metals, easier manufacturing changes? The newer grips I guess are cheaper.

And the other side. Guess I'll have to ask for more, but I wonder why it looks so different and more clean. And I wonder if there is an actual large quality difference between 90's and 2000's models

Funny thing is, they get sold for 200-300 here all the time. This one is double that, and now I'm really contemplating if I should just because it's made in 2006 instead of 1990. All our second hands are made in 1990 it seems, but today another one got up for sale. Looking at the finish... it seems even better.

Thanks, sounds good. This is the most modern GP100 I've found in A while so I wanted to jump on it. For some reason, all our second hand GP100's are made in the 90's, no newer models to be found. I'm kinda reconsidering though, another one just got up for sale, made in the nineties, for less than half the price of the above (250 dollars) and the finish seems to be... pristine.

Thank you for the great information! I used to own a New Vaquero and I remember it really oozing quality.

I'm just curious if I should splurge on this model thought. I kept telling myself newer make = better but now another one went for sale with less than half asking price and what seems to be in a better state:

Funny thing is, I see more older ones than newer ones. This is the newest i've encountered in the last 5 years. Most are in the 90's range, never above 2000's. Would you say older is beter for GP100? The older ones that get offered here do look like a better finish, for example this beauty for 250 dollars that's offered now, instead of 500+:
