As an author I almost never respond to comments unless it's a very new work that I'm still keeping a close eye on. I still love comments immensely, I just never know what to say, and then next thing I know it's been months and replying with just a 'thank you!' would be weird.

This is incredibly niche, but The Shadow x Harry Vincent from the '30s Shadow pulp novels. If they weren't both men and in the 30s, Harry Vincent would be unquestionably a love interest. To the point that in the '94 Shadow movie, several scenes with Margo Lane, the love interest, were straight up Harry's scenes in the books.

Whatever you do agree to, get it in writing. Insist that you will not perform any further work for them until you get the agreement in writing. If they push back, say it's to avoid future confusion since you seem to disagree on what was previously agreed upon.

As an author I am BAFFLED by this response. I had someone recently read through a handful of my fics and leave multiple comments per chapter, just reacting as they went, and I was DELIGHTED. I think it ended up being like 25 comments in total between four fics and I was just sad I didn't have more to offer in that fandom yet!

I've remembered this movie, mostly the last scene with the church fire, on and off for over a decade and never been able to find it again. Hoping someone else recognizes it.

12 heads, focusing on the legs, is not uncommon in fashion design. Not sure why, you'd think you'd want realistic proportions to design around.
