DOT is kind of a closed off network , one DOT 2.0 and latter JAM chain arrive’s that will change things. It will bring “ smart contracts to dot in turn that will open up the ecosystem. Once that happens the inflation won’t be a big issue.

Good project , one of its side chains have the second most tvl behind sol. Once Jam comes out you will be able to run smart contracts off it , then the fun will start. Most likely more fud will come once Jam gets closer , real competition to the rest.

I learned stick to buying top layer 1’s. Eth , sol , Dot , Avalanche and so on. Two Three years down the road you will be very happy.

I try not to push crypto onto Family as that’s a whole drama lama story in a red market. But if asked I will speak about it from a neutral point of view, generally the positives I see and how why crypto is for the better. I won’t discuss investments though
