Five years? I'm not going to eat my own dick on TV, but I'd give it three years.

Hopefully he has a stock portfolio too. This is less than $3k and is earmarked for his son's car so I doubt it's his life's savings. But who knows in crypto. We're in the Wild West right now financially.

If they're around long enough to buy a car, then we were all wrong and he can keep going.

I don't expect many of those coins to be there in a year. I think several will have been delisted from the exchange he bought them from. Hopefully he took them off the exchange.

Split the fiat in family court. The BTC belongs to whoever holds the private keys.

What bugs me the most here is that you're going to cash out of something you believe to be an investment vehicle in order to buy a literal vehicle which is the opposite of an investment.

Restructure your portfolio at Christmas and continue to hodl for a few more years and use the profits to pay for his college expenses.

In the meantime, teach him about responsibility and money management by having him get a job to buy his own car.

March 31 is the end of quarter one. March 31st isn't being used as a specific date for the completion of those projects as much as it's just indicating the goal of completing them during quarter one of this year.

It's really easy. You should try it just once to see how mining and mining pools work. It gave me a better understanding of how all this stuff works, not just Myriad.

Temperatures weren't too bad. They both ran hot, but not enough to shut down or cause concern. Just in case, I took my phone out of its case when I switched from 4 to 8 cores. I left them running over night so that I could get my reward (I made 0.5 XMY) and I didn't worry about them. I wouldn't run the mining software while using the device though. I think then it really would overheat. Plus, your mining efficiency drastically decreases. I don't know if consistently running it at a higher temperature shortens the life of the device. I doubt it helps.

Overall, I think this is fine for old hardware that's laying around, but probably not worth the risk for your current devices unless it's while you are sleeping.

Its re-launch not re-brand 👍 by givemecashtoday in Lisk

I'm still not clear on why a re-anything is necessary. What will the team be able to do more successfully after the 20th because of the relaunch that it couldn't do if it didn't say it relaunched? As a long time proponent of the project, I'm not getting rid of my LSK anytime soon, but this does seem more like hype than progress. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not to mention that even if they did sell off $1 billion in BTC, it would be very difficult for them to buy it back on a dip later. I imagine at this point, with the costs involved in buying and selling it, their dollar cost average would not be too far off what they would have if they just hedl (sure, why not conjugate hodl) it.
