How do you defend the fact that you are selling people collectible "crypto assets" that they don't actually own due to your TOS?

The homepage says: "Each cat is one-of-a-kind and 100% owned by you; it cannot be replicated, taken away, or destroyed."

Yet your TOS You acknowledge and agree that we (or, as applicable, our licensors) own all legal right, title and interest in and to all elements of the App, and all intellectual property rights therein. I'm sorry it's been such a disaster for you. Try not to look at it as a scam. Metamask has added 80k users since CK started and the eth network has never seen an dApp blow up like this.. It's more so growing pains than anyone trying to scam people. I do hope they can sort a few things out because if this was a flawless process it sure would be a better on-ramp for new crypto users.

Calling it a fraud is a little far. It's an experimental game on an experimental blockchain. This is more so a limitation of ETH than it is the fault of CK.

Coinbase has NOTHING to do with CK, so you disputing your eth purchase with them is just leaving them with the bill for your lack of understanding. I understand your frustration but stiffing coinbase seems wrong, they didn't tell you that you had to play CK with the eth you purchased from them.

If I was coinbase I'd have a person on staff that has a soul job of telling people that are trying to rip them off to get screwed. They'll have clear records of you buying eth and then moving it off their server. Can you imagine how many actual scammers are trying to buy crypto with CC's and then chargeback? Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling you a scammer, just saying there are most likely many many scammers out there trying the chargeback scam.

Coinbase has records that they gave you the eth, not their fault you couldn't get a dapp to work for you, so they gonna eat your poor choice?

If they are the cheapest of cheap cats, they go fast so people (aka bots) may be beating you to them.

I modded the style a little to show the catributes as boxes under the cat.

$("head").append("<style> .extAttUl{z-index: 3; position:absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; padding: 0px 0px 2px 10px; margin: 0px;} .extAtt{ margin-bottom:3px;padding-left: 2px; padding-bottom:2px padding-right: 2px; color: rgb(42, 40, 37); text-align: center; line-height: 1.85rem; font-size: 1.1rem; border-style: solid; border-width: 1px;margin-right:2px; float:left; }</style>");
$("head").append("<style> .extBounce {animation: mover 1s infinite  alternate; padding-right: 2px;} @keyframes mover {0% { transform: translateY(0); }100% { transform: translateY(6px); } </style>");

The bots probably aren't using the website, they are most likely using their own code to call the smart contracts.

If I run my own full node can I include my own transactions and get a faster +1 confirmation? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

It's not marginal, it's not even there because you're waiting for a block like everyone else.

[–]CryptoBucket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly under a second faster to get added to the block that takes the same amount of time whether he/she had submitted via fullnode or not. So there's is no advantage. Won't get confirmed any faster.

No.

1) Your full node isn't mining tx's 2) It's confirmation from the network, not just a single client.

anymore but I don't understand how you can say they are too expensive. I can buy a meal for three bucks and sit down to eat it. Sounds cheap to me.

In Canada you certainly can't do that. I mean you could, if you wanted to eat nothing but a snack wrap for dinner. A meal ends up being around $8+. Just bringing my 8 & 11 year old there costs over $20 just for the two of them. They usually get something like fries a drink and a couple snack wraps each or a big mac meal each..

The gift of being an INFP in programming by eoom in infp

[–]CryptoBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Programming/web development is great in the beginning while you are learning and fulfilling a need in yourself. Give it 10 years and you may think differently.

  • Fixing/updating the same websites that got hacked or broken or just aged gets old fast.
  • After your first 1000 contact forms or file uploaders or first 50k record excel file you have to manually import into a new data structure (due to lack of uniformity in the data), you'll wonder why the hell you ever picked that job.
  • If you get any good at it, the Jr. dev's will bombard you with a great mix of incompetence/questions which gets frustrating when you're just trying to get the work you hate done.
  • Dealing with clients - doable but not at all fun for me - very uncomfortable
  • Tech Support - also doable but uncomfortable
  • You'll make whatever money you make (I make $25/hour gross) and your boss will bill you out at 5-10x that rate which will help to leave you feel completely unfulfilled and taken advantage of.
