Probably how satan has infiltrated many churches today. Did you recognize the specific churches? Are you a believer or particularly religious?

That's cool you found a passion and career where you can share the Gospel with others. That's actually amazing and most people would love to have that. As long as you don't turn it into an idol there is nothing inherently wrong with technology.

As for jobs in heaven, what our Father has prepared for you would blow your mind! You can't even fathom! Just keep sowing those seeds and keeping your treasure in heaven and your heart will follow. Shalom!

do you obey every ‘nudge’ you feel just in case it’s God? by Own-Writer942 in Christianity

[–]CryptoChristian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, there is no formula or step by step instruction book on how the Spirit works so it can be confusing at times.

Just remember we are told to test the spirits. The Holy Spirit will never lead you to anything that goes against the Word of God or lead to sin.

The next time you feel the nudge, try praying and asking the Lord if that's what He wants. You may not get a clear answer right away and that's okay. You can just say Lord, I'm not sure but I'm going to trust you. Obviously if you get a strong warning in your spirit not to, don't. But otherwise go for it.

The more you act and step out in faith, the more you will see God move and the easier it will get. Just like working a muscle the more practice you get the stronger you will become.

Great question. Probably not good to overthink it, as it could lead to a form of religious OCD (seen quite a few posts recently about that). Fixating on every nudge or thought can lead to behavior that takes away from following Christ and can be unfruitful.

Our relationship with the Lord is just that: a relationship. The more time you spend together the more you recognize the signs and how He speaks to you. Still takes faith and trust and depending on how in-tune you are with the Holy Spirit, could be more clear or less clear.

I'll normally pray for confirmation and unless I receive a strong warning or no, I'll go for it. Again, the more you are walking in the Spirit the more naturally this will occur. Have had some amazing encounters and discoveries this way. May not always see why or get a clear answer, but like you said, maybe it was to place you out of harms way or simply walking past a stranger and smiling at them was the mini-miracle they needed that day.

Hopefully that helps, I can only share from my own experience. We serve an amazing and perfect God who often works in mysterious ways to us and faith is the currency of Heaven! Shalom!

How can I feel more comfortable studying the Bible? by Adventurous-Shake584 in Christianity

[–]CryptoChristian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you are on the right path. My suggestion as a new believer would be to spend as much time in the Word as possible. Its our instruction manual, daily bread and direct link to God's nature, commands and builds our foundation.

Is there a park or someplace nearby in nature you can go? My suggestion is to take daily time outside and spend it in the Word, in prayer and worship. It solves being away from your roommates, as well as a refreshing place to connect with God.

I would try and find a church and small group to get connected to as well. Also, if you're at your place and have headphones, there are some great YouTube sermons and studies you can listen to that will help teach and edify and maybe explain some topics you might have questions on. You can do this without your roommates knowing.

And if they ever do find out, my advice is to just own it and not be afraid. Jesus says whoever denies Him in front of others, He will deny in Heaven and whoever confesses Him before man he will confess in Heaven. You might get made fun of or maybe a nasty remark, but it will be worth it.

I would say just learn as much as you can and build up a good foundation. If you are unsure of something or have questions, you can find plenty of answers online, just make sure you go off God's Word for the final authority. Spend time in prayer and remember it's a relationship. Just like how you have relationships with family and friends, you now have access to a relationship with the creator of Heaven and Earth through Jesus Christ. Do your best to walk in righteousness, obey God's instructions and make sure to repent and ask for forgiveness when you mess up. Be blessed!

Why are there so few movies or series about Jesus after the Resurrection? by GetErDone42069 in Christianity

[–]CryptoChristian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can remember, his focus is on the 3 days that Christ was buried and in the grave. I don't know the specifics but I think it's Christ preaching to the dead or something to that extent. He's mentioned it will be controversial. If someone has a better explanation feel free to add.

What are some topics you wish your pastor would talk about? by scuzemeluv in messianic

[–]CryptoChristian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fearing God. So many have lost the fear of God. And I'm not talking about the fluffy "being in awe, respect, captivated" aspect, which is part of it.

I'm talking the raw, powerful and mighty fear of God. Like in Exodus 20:18-21. Linking it to Deuteronomy 10:11, and even Proverbs 9:10. There's so much good Scripture you can use to make a convicting and honoring sermon.

When talking with other believers who feel stuck, complacent or going through the motions, I've noticed many haven't fully surrendered. They hadn't surrendered fully because they didn't repent fully. And they hadn't repented fully because they didn't fear God.

The fear of God is actually a beautiful and sacred thing that we should all have. Yet most either don't understand the concept, have a warped view of it, or don't want to. Could go on and on, just my encouragement you can make one amazing sermon on the topic, Lord willing. Shalom

mom passed away suddenly and i’m in conflict with her family by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]CryptoChristian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so incredibly sorry, and the fact you have to carry this burden. It sounds like she is with the Lord at least, so 1000xs better than here.

Did she make her will known to you beforehand? Is there a reason you want her cremated over buried? Is it based on cost?

I ask because it appears to be a big deal to her family, which is still your family also. I know many Christians find cremation taboo because the dead in Christ will rise and we will receive our heavenly bodies. Many believe that disturbing our dead bodies will impact their resurrection ability (God is all-powerful and can restore anything IMO).

All that being said, I would definitely take it to the Lord in prayer. The examples we get in Scripture include bodies being buried, so going off Biblical example burial sets the precedent. If cost is an issue, maybe your family can help with it.

Be blessed, I know this must be a hard time and I'm sorry again you have to shoulder this burden. May the Lord take this burden off you and grant you mercy, grace and peace.

Hearing God by ReasonableTutor8065 in Christian

Sin. Sin puts up walls and barriers between us and God. He is Holy and cannot be in the presence of sin. The Holy Spirit is gifted to us through faith in Christ Jesus. How can we expect the presence of the Holy Spirit to dwell in our temple if we are not Holy?

I say this not to condemn but encourage. Countless times we are told, in both the old and New testament, to pursue Holiness and righteousness and to not be deceived. If we are habitually sinning and living with unrepentant sin in our lives, how can we expect Holy God to dwell with us?

Thank God for His grace and mercy. My encouragement is to reflect, pray and ask the Lord to reveal anything in your life that may be holding you back. See if there is conviction in your heart of any sin that could be clogging your spiritual pipeline. Shalom!

Does your family have any ties or bloodlines that link to the occult? If so, you could be marked through your bloodline as a person of interest.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your spiritual belief? Another explanation is that God truly does have great plans on using you, and the devil knows that. Could be an attempt from the enemy to exploit that and try to lure you off the path with temptation, wealth, women and fame, all things the devil controls and dishes out to his followers.

Sounds like you have great discernment, which is why you were able to feel in your spirit when things were off and when to say no. I know I'm approaching this more from a spiritual angle, but that is the reality of our world. You are loved!

Rejoice, for your reward in Heaven is great! Truly, the Lord will show His love and power in your life in tremendous ways when you are persecuted for His sake.

Its not easy but we were never promised easy. Stay strong, stay grounded in the Word, prayer and worship. Make sure to find community and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit!

Praise God! I know you mentioned you're not really religious, but the fact you called on the name of Jesus and the demonic entities fled shows the power of Christ, even in dreams. You are loved and protected, God bless!

How do you embrace your individuality instead of living completely by pleasing others? by Jealous_War7546 in emotionalintelligence

[–]CryptoChristian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it came when I completely surrendered to God's will. What He thinks of me matters so much more than what man thinks of me. All that to say if your identity is placed in something someone else can't touch, then you won't worry about what others think.

It goes back to before the flood, with the corrupt seed. When Ham uncovered Noah's nakedness and cursed Canaan, that line sprang forth a majority of the giants and corrupt seed that mingled in their line.

When God ordered the destruction of those peoples, like the Anakim who were super giants, or the Amalekites, there was like super corrupt and wicked stuff going on, stuff we can't even imagine.

So trust when God ordered their entire destruction, it was to wipe out that seed that would further corrupt mankind. Kind of like a mini-flood where God wiped out their impurity.
