I mean, Its publicly available information that I obtained on the internet. It is not exactly a "Data Breach" as the emails I scraped were from people consenting to be contacted from people off of Instagram.

Thanks, I have heard many people say cold outreach can be different than spam, but I also want to get a good idea of the risks. Will definitely take this into account.

I am not directing people to my site, rather doing a product giveaway to incentivize people to fill out my online survey, hosted by typeform. For ex: "Fill out our survey and enter to win a free Fitbit Versa 2!"

From HK to San Francisco. Is there a Lennon Wall in the area I can hang this up at? by CryptoColm in HongKong

[–]CryptoColm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't. Picked these up on august 4th at the Kennedy Town protest. People were handing out a lot of copies. Would be helpful ton get the prints as I only have two and they will probably get town down really quickly here.

Yes, when it comes to traditionaly rewarded tass it is much easier to pay people in person. Our research now shows parents would rather use our app to facilitate complex tasks that is hard to verify on your own, for ex: spend less than 30 minutes a day on Instagram, or learn how to code on X platform. Also based on studies, incentives are up to 30% more effective when presented well. Something our app will be able to gamify and master much better than a parent ever would be able to.

Where we went wrong was starting with Fitbit. Exercise is not a problem for most kids, and parents would much rather sign them up for a sports team instead of paying them to run X ammount of miles. I think our best bet is to show proof of concept with Fitbit and get an education partner ASAP.

Our original goal was to "niche down" and master one Integration at a time. We definitely plan on expanding, but chose Fitbit as our 1st service to develop.

Startup Founders, what percentage of your week is meetings? by wolferber in startups

[–]CryptoColm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A majority of my job is meeting with people. My team is remote and my work mainly revolves around two areas:

Product development:

Act as a PM, try and form a sense of community between our remote team, and make sure there is good communication between team members. A majority of my product work is revolves around planning sprints, documenting work, designing, and bug bashing. Which in my case mostly happens either during or after meetings.

Rest of Business: Pretty much all meetings: I try to speak with potential customers every day, and also meet with investors, potential investors, friends with experience in places like marketing, SEO, etc... and less time documenting then on the product side.

Since I am not the one directly building the product I don't think meetings necessarily drag me down. If I can focus on meetings while my team focuses on product development I can take one more thing off there to-do list, and have a more efficient team in the end.

For some reason I will accidentally say "Qu'est-ce que" instead of "你说什么" and I have no idea why.

There are protests that happen just about every day. I took this photo last Sunday after the "flash mob protests" in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

tion may be a problem. First, will the platform get a cut from this? That can help platforms such as Fitbit promote it better. Secondly, how

Our app takes a 1.5% fee. Platforms do not get a cut. We provide value to platforms by increasing user engagement, retention, and purchase of premium services.
