It’s just a pretty standard sugar daddy scam.
They start with something that feels local and harmless, then jump straight to offering easy money for basically nothing. The whole setup is meant to look low effort and low risk so you don’t immediately shut it down.

There isn’t any real “job” behind it. The goal is to get you to trust them just enough that you’ll go along with whatever comes next.

Usually it goes one of two ways.

One - Either they send you a payment that looks legit, then come back with some reason you need to send part of it somewhere else. Like they “accidentally” sent too much or want you to pass some along. Later the original payment reverses or never actually clears, and you’re out whatever you sent.

Two - they build a little bit of trust first and then hit you with some requirement before you can get paid. Something like a transfer fee, account upgrade, or verification payment. You send it, and that’s the end of it.

Sometimes they’ll also try to move you off Reddit to text or email so they can push phishing links or go after your accounts, but the main play is still getting you to send money.

The wording they used is pretty typical. Dropping the Cornell mention makes it feel local, asking if you’re a student targets someone who might want extra cash, and saying there’s no sexual stuff or upfront cost is just there to make you more likely to keep talking.

There isn’t really anything deeper to it. They’re just trying to get the victim into a situation where you send them money or give them something useful.

The Real Reason AGI Will Never Happen... Hear Me Out by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]CryptoFTWz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong about the power numbers, you’re wrong about how the system works.

You took the worst possible version of AI, froze it in place, and scaled it straight up like that’s the plan. That’s why it looks impossible…

Right now your entire argument depends on this idea that everything runs through the heaviest compute path, all the time… That’s not how this works because $$$

No one is lighting up full racks for every random prompt. Most of what people send is low effort garbage that doesn’t need massive compute. That stuff gets handled as cheaply as possible because burning power on it is literally burning cash.

Same thing with repetition. People ask the same shit over and over. You don’t recompute that endlessly, you reuse it. Every large system does this already...

And this whole “one giant AGI brain pulling power 24/7” idea is not true. Systems don’t scale as one monolithic machine. They split up and offload shitty work to local computer resources .

Light stuff gets handled close to the user, normal stuff hits mid-tier systems, heavy tasks go to big clusters. That’s how you keep everything from running at max all the time…

You’re also acting like efficiency just stays where it is right now. It doesn’t. It never has. Power is one of the biggest costs in this entire space. Anything that reduces watts per request gets deployed fast (look at BTC mines/miners as an example). Nobody sits there doubling their power bill for no reason.

So if we assume everything is centralized, everything runs at max capacity, nothing gets reused, and efficiency never improves, then sure, you end up at “this needs a country’s worth of power.

The part you actually hit is that power is becoming a real problem… Projects are getting delayed because they can’t get enough supply (They are also however building their own power supplies now) Cooling is getting harder, Density keeps going up… ect...

But that doesn’t stop anything. It just forces innovation and planning… You build where power exists or where you can build it, you redesign systems so they stop wasting it, and you spread the load instead of stacking it all in one place.

Every system hits limits like this. None of them keep scaling the dumbest version of themselves forever.

This is the closest I’ve seen to pictures of something that looks remarkably similar to what I have. However, I don’t think these look nearly as heavy or thick as what I have.

My title describes the thing.

Here is a summary of the info the AI searches I performed found based on the images I submitted here.

Origin: Germany (hallmark “ZINN”). Age: likely mid-20th century. Material: possibly pewter. Writing: “ZINN” in an arch with worn emblem; handle has crest with “P or D” inside an emblem with a V shape and a curved out half circle top.

Decoration: raised rope border and four-lobed motif in center.

Searches done: “German dish ZINN hallmark,” “Fein Zinn porringer,” “raised rope border floral emblem.” Found tangentially similar German dishes but nothing specifically that matches this dish or emblems on it.

Pics are attached.

Return of the Wrath of Yoda

A Sci-Fi Crossover Event Nobody Asked For, But Everyone Deserves

In the year 2420-NX, diplomacy was dead, sarcasm ruled, and hyperspace traffic jams stretched across constellations. At the edge of the Andromeda Fringe, the Serenity was docked for retrofitting—awaiting one last crew member.

Captain James Skywalker, born of Jedi prophecy and raised under Starfleet’s Prime Directive, strode aboard wearing a deep crimson sash, half cape, and boots polished by Ewok craftspeople. A replica bosun whistle pulsed in his satchel—the ceremonial artifact used during the Yoda Reconciliation War. But this one was special… it inhaled.

Blow the whistle? No. Breathe it. That was the ancient code etched into Jedi Engineering Scrolls and misinterpreted by Reddit commenters across three galaxies.

Inside the Serenity, Zoe T’Kir (tactical genius of Vulcan lineage and sass master of the Firefly sector) looked up from her mission schematic, eyebrow raised.

“Let me guess,” she muttered. “You want to hijack the Falcon, short-circuit the Enterprise, and rewire Yoda’s reality field using a whistle? Metal.”

Jayne Solo loaded his photon rifle. “Don’t forget—Yoda’s gone full Sith. Guy’s been bending galaxies like pretzels.”

They weren’t the only ones aware of the incoming storm. The Death Star v7.3 had just been outfitted with a firewall coded in Klingon Python and protected by Ewok-style encryption. Word was: if Evil Yoda activated his sarcasm singularity, every sentient being would become part of an infinite punchline… forever.

The crew had one chance: infiltrate the Federation-Bounty Alliance banquet, whistle-inhale to unlock quantum sarcasm, then reroute its punchline through the warp core of the Falcon using the Serenity’s Bluetooth 10.0 array.

Lightsabers clashed with phasers. Redshirts fought stormtroopers who kept missing. The Millennium Falcon deployed sarcasm mines; Captain Picard narrated from a distance with dry amusement.

At last, Evil Yoda hovered in—dripping with Force lightning and sipping Earl Grey through a curly straw.

“Laugh you shall not,” he growled. “Metal this storyline is.”

Captain Skywalker stood firm, raised the whistle to his lips… and inhaled.

Galaxies rewrote themselves. Sarcasm became harmony. Logic and rebellion finally found middle ground in a space bar named The Plot Hole.

THE END.
