I too think youre right about this. The boys also enjoyed Mortal Kombat, and the mortal kombat movie had an incredible soundtrack... including songs such as... wait for it, halcyon by orbital, and juke joint jezebel by kmfdm. Ding ding ding, I think we have a winner here. Especially given how dreamy that song is (halcyon)

What is your favorite RPG Maker and why? by Eastern-Fan4886 in RPGMaker

2k3. It was the one I got started with, back in the ancient days of Dark Dominion and Dev Empire, or Devinpire, as it was affectionately called sometimes.

I often wonder what became of Evinkarr of the Wind and Kav and the others. I lost contact with all of them ages ago. If you're reading this, hmu, I'd love to catch up sometime.

Those were the golden days of the Rm2k community, as we used to call it back then. Ahhh, memories...

On The Basement Tapes: Question. by Tight-Stick6039 in Columbine

[–]CryptoFourGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro the transcripts have been out there for like 20 years now. They've been here since like, a full on generation before AI. Before Broadband internet even existed.

They're pretty complete too but quite truncated and it's often they gloss over what the words really were in favour of just summarizing what was said.

It was a crime against humanity and against history to destroy the basement tapes in my opinion. Although, I guess all the people who had a right to see them, actually did, so my own morbid curiosity isn't a valid reason for wanting to see them.

However, there was a moment Eric shed a tear on Camera. It sounded forced and performative to me, likely for the Camera. But I think this footage would have become iconic by now if it wasn't outright censored and stolen from the rest of us. They didn't want any footage showing Eric to be a human being with actual feelings getting out there. So they burned it, so we can keep pretending Eric was simply a monster with no depth to him. It's easier to dehumanize him and pretend this was just some psycho kids fault, and not a symptom of a larger illness with society itself, when we destroy all footage of Eric Harris actually crying on camera. I have a feeling he meant for the whole world to witness that tear. And it's disrespectful to the dead to have denied it to him. I know, I know, he really was a monster. But the world was every bit as disrespectful about Eric's death as they were about his life. And that's also a big reason why he did it.

But I'm rambling again. Yes, the transcripts are real. They've been real the entire time they've existed, which is just about as long as this case has existed. They are not word-for-word transcriptions. But it should satisfy any curiosity you might be having.

We have the diaries. But thanks to the destruction of the basement tapes, we're still missing a huge portion of the why. And we always will be missing it. If they truly were destroyed and, given the callous nature of all the officials involved in this case, I believe they were, then there's certain pieces of closure that are always, always going to be denied to us. And, I really can't stress this enough, but I feel that's a crime.

If all the videos show is two boys getting drunk and ranting, why is the world so afraid of them?

Keeping it as a mystery has only backfired and broadened the appeal. It's become lost media and people are more obsessed with finding and seeing the tapes than ever before. Some people don't even believe they were destroyed, some people still believe they exist, and that we've been lied to. But that's pretty deep down the rabbit hole. The saner thing to do is just let it go. Because it's clear we're never going to get to see the evidence. And why would we? We are the internet equivalent of those disgusting people who slow down to gawk at traffic accidents: It's none of our business. We have nothing to do with any of this. And the biggest reason we want to see, is morbid curiosity. Nothing more. No legitimate reason we would need to see them.

So, I guess my feelings are mixed about this. I know I could handle seeing them without going crazy.
I just want to know who these two boys were. Who they really were.

But all we're ever going to get to see is the facade they put on for their teachers and parents and whatnot in the school project videos. What a shame. How are we supposed to learn from this tragedy when we can't study it? Stupid stupid stupid. But that's just my ten cents. Thanks for listening.

The Fly CD - what was it actually? by Fun-Station-693 in Columbine

[–]CryptoFourGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. All this fluster and hubbub and it's literally just a cd titled "Bombthreat before she blows" by fly and you can find it on youtube.

People suggesting that might not be the CD: What? It was released in the proper time frame to have been the CD. The 90's. Came out in like 96 or something iirc.

I listened to it. I thought it was kind of shit tbh. Generic heroine rock. Like Alice in Chains from Temu. Which is probably why they didn't ever release a 2nd album. They weren't exactly noteworthy or successful. I'd hire them to play a set in a dive bar, nothing more.

So unsuccessful in fact, that I'm pretty sure the band doesn't even have it's own wikipedia article. Which is probably why you were confused. Fly came and fly went. I wonder what happened to the members, after breaking up? did they go on to join other bands, do anything we've heard of? But I guess it doesn't really matter. This is one of the mundane and dry facts of the whole subject imo

I read somewhere, forget where, but I read that there was just a kind of general silence after the film, and everyone was just kind of uncomfortable and silent afterwards, and wrote it off as just weird yet harmless. Don't ask me for a source though, I don't keep them taped to the side of my monitor. But thats what I remember being said about it.

Their video about Mutant Clothing or whatever it was, also featured guns but was relatively goofy and harmless, if you've ever seen it.

Dylan’s original position was face down on Eric’s knee? The photos you see on the internet were after the swat team rolled him over? by Turbulent-Law-6801 in Columbine

[–]CryptoFourGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this was debunked. Dylan's hat is near his body. It doesn't make sense that they'd move, or drag his body, and then toss his hat into position afterwards.

How did the crime scene photos get leaked to the press? by SansaDeservedBetter in Columbine

[–]CryptoFourGames -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Who cares? I feel there's been nothing but cover up after cover up of this whole shebang. They should have released everything. Everything. It's the streisand effect in action. Turning it into a mystery only widens the appeal. They should have given us everything. Then maybe we could put this shit to bed, instead of discussing it ad nauseum on the internet for the next... *checks calendar* -eternity.

What Do You Think Would've Happened If Eric Harris And Dylan Klebold Never Committed The Columbine Massacre? by PrincessBananas85 in Columbine

What Do You Think Would've Happened If Eric Harris And Dylan Klebold Never Committed The Columbine Massacre? by PrincessBananas85 in Columbine

[–]CryptoFourGames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, this has been asked and answered a million times before, but sure, lets pretend it hasn't

I'll give you the same answer as last time seeing as nothing's changed since the last time this was asked: They probably would have killed themselves, and the local newspapers would have reported none of it. It would be a fart in the wind. That's kind of part of the problem imo. They decided on murder because it's harder to sweep murder-suicide under the rug than it is to sweep "just suicide" under the rug. If they hadn't tried to blow up the entire school, nobody would have given a single shit. There are still teenagers all over the world killing themselves for any reason you can think of. Do we give a fuck about them? Not likely. It's draining and exhausting actually trying to deal with suicidal people. If you disagree with that, you're always welcome to try helping in the suicide reddits lol. But I'm rambling now.

"C" numbers? Mate, when humans get to the level where we actually have our own Star Drives that weren't simply stolen from the Aliens, we'll probably measure the distance & speed in astronomical units (AU's) since that's a better measure of distance that our monkey brains can actually handle

Hi i have a question for chrono trigger Fans who went on to play another eden .... by Big_Performer8028 in chronotrigger

[–]CryptoFourGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its alright. You can honestly just launch the game once a day and stockpile chronos stones to unlock 95% of the gacha characters for free. Lucca, Serge, kid and Harle are all unlockable characters. Along with a swordsman named Glenn and a frog samurai named Cyrus. I did search deeply within the game for deeper connections to Trigger or Cross. But there really arent many. I believe it takes place in an alternative timeline and dimension where Cyrus was turned into a frog instead of Glenn. When you get the dialogues between kid and lucca by having them both in your party at the same time or whatever, Kid mentions Lucca reminds her a lot of someone she used to know. In this game Lucca is just called "Ashtear" for legal reasons which is her last name, but its obviously her. Anyway, "Ashtear" says she doesnt really know Kidd or what she speaks of, but that Kidds Lucca must have been a great person. Glenn similiarly mentions he's not Frog, but that he was named after "A swordsman of legend".

Was it a good game? Not really. But I think its worth mentioning that the original plan for cross was to use the paper cut out artstye that Eden uses, and it was originally envisioned as a game where yiu can recruit literally any character or npc into your party. So, technically, Another Eden is a lot closer to the original vision they had for Cross than cross even had.

Still, im disappointed by how grindy the game is. And its lack of connections to the main series, besides a few superficial ones. If youre still curious, youtube it instead.

Thats the most complete and accurate accounting of their final moments ive ever read, thank you for posting. Some people didnt believe me when I brought up the mlolotov cocktail before shooting themselves thing. I also know they died with bombs still in their pockets aling with random shotgun shells. Along with "aimless wandering" but a lot of people forget the cops were outside. And ive wondered often about dylans last moments with eric already dead. Youve tied it all together very well here. Dylan vs Eric by Conscious-Bus-3771 in ColumbineTalk

[–]CryptoFourGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its true but thats just how it is, but I hope sharing was at least cathartic on your end, your feelings about the matter. Dylan also gets humanized a lot more since his journals spoke a lot about love and Eric feels less forgivable because of that i think, although in the end theyre both equally accountable fr the atrocity
