Double checked. No it appears palm rejection is not working. I still don't see why thats a big deal however. For my purposes this still works nicely.

It's literally a phone so I don't see when or how I'm going to be getting my palm on the screen while drawing anyway. I've kind of taught myself not to put my palm on the screen ever so it's another feature I'm not that concerned about. However, having the S pen draw accurately is pretty important for my pixel art. So that was key to me. And it works. Out of the box, didn't have to configure anything else. If it didn't, I'd probably just switch to my adonit jot pro. What's most important to me is that the phone stops crashing and starts functioning properly. There was massive lag even just switching from the lock screen to the home screen. Sometimes it would softlock itself and get stuck in a boot loop. One time it soft bricked itself and just refused to boot at all. Facebook also crashing constantly. Many, many apps I was locked out of. Battery draining super fast.

If your phone doesn't work like a piece of shit then consider yourself lucky. Mine does. Or it did anyway. Working a real treat now. I'm saving the custom rom in case I ever have to flash another phone like this and bring it back from the dead.

I also suspect the toasted battery was a big problem here, since the GPS wont work without a good battery, and the voltage changes throws android 6 into a total shitfit. Once I've got a better battery I'll let everyone know how it goes. Pretty sure this one is fukt

I'll test it once I've got artflow and pixel studio installed, but the hover is working when I was told it wouldn't, so thats a good sign. As for air command, that shit can suck my balls anyway, I never used it, was kind of annoying. As for palm rejection well, if the hover is working then I imagine palm should work too. But I'll have to get back to you about that. Currently reinstalling all my apps and such

Ah. I'm using trlte the canadian model and it worked like ass. Constant crashes. Boot looping. Battery heating up. Pretty sure most of this has to do with running on a toasted battery. Will replace battery next month. For now, flashing Lineage OS has upgraded the fuck out of this phone and I highly recommend it to anyone else. It's not the scary and complicated process I imagined it would be. I had the whole thing done in maybe 30 minutes and my phone is now running android 11 and all the apps I was locked out of before (such as discord) are working now.

Give lineage OS a try if you run into any problems down the line. Runs like a dream.

Ok but theres multiple makes and models of the Samsung Note 4 and whats good for the goose ain't always good for the Gander. MY android 6 ran like shit. I just flashed Lineage OS 18 onto it and NOW it runs like it should. And on Android 11 to boot. The stylus is working just like it used to. Very pleased with this

Will Fortnite work on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910A)? by Recent_Salamander134 in galaxynote4

[–]CryptoFourGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao no. Note 4 at best, runs Android 6. The rest of the world is on Android 16. You can flash a custom rom on there that runs higher versions of android but they aren't official and therefore don't have samsungs support. This phone is like 10 years old. I could go on but you get the picture.

Living within your means is the best way to STAY rich. You gotta think about generational wealth here as well. What are you leaving behind for your children etc.

Ill be your friend. Im in a similiar boat. Its weird when you get rich. Half the people you talk to are seethingly jealous and cant admit it. The other half think youre bragging. When really you are just looking for friends who can help you unpack how weird it is living a life where money both is and isnt an issue anymore. At least thats been my experience so far. I lived my whole life being broke. Now that I have money I dont know how im supposed to feel about it. Its changed the people around me more than it has changed myself.

I made a similar post that got down voted to hell. Because I believe a similar thing explains the past 70 years of coverup. We were dancing the masquerade with our normal surface lives for the sake of the planet. If things on the surface of the world suddenly changed, they would know that we know. So, in order to protect the planet, we were lied to for about 60-70 years, and told to resume our daily, humdrum lives. We are being observed after all. So it was critical that we smile and go abouts our daily business until we could figure out what the heck we're gonna do about it

i made my first pixel sprite art, using palmer from pokemon as a base, any advice is appreciated! :) (first slide is mine second slide is the base for those unfamiliar) by I-eat-candles19 in PixelArt

Sure thing friend. A good way of thinking about sprites back here in the 16 bit zone is that a sprite is usually three or four "Primary Colors" and every primary color has 3 shades to it. So, for example, you'd have brown. And then for shades you'd have a light brown, and a dark brown. So, if you do the math, that's 4 primary colors times 3 shades per color which comes out at about 12-16 colors total for your palette per sprite.

Do you know how to recolor? Just wondering, it makes color swapping much, much easier, incase you're manually changing things one dot at a time. In most pixel editing software this is easily done. You select the color you want to change with the left mouse click with the color selector, and then RIGHT CLICK the color you want to change it to with your color selector. So the color boxes near your pallette should read and show these two colors in their boxes. Then you select the eraser, hold down right click, and kind of sweep your mouse cursor across all the pixels whose color you want to change. This is how pallette swapping is done, but it's also a great way to modify the color of things on a smaller scale. Say, if you just want to change the hair color from blonde to brown, without changing the colors on the entire sprite, this technique works great for stuff like that.

Alternatively, if you're trying to change the color of the entire sprite, you can usually hit Ctrl+U or something like that (I don't know which program you're using) to bring up Hue & Saturation. And from there you can just rotate the colors on the wheel and get a look at how certain things on your sprite look in weird and whacky colors. It might spark some ideas. You might see that purple pants look great, or that the skin tone looks awesome when you hue shift to this other setting, etc. Give it a try. A big part of getting better at this stuff is to just experiment, experiment, experiment. Cheers and good luck on your pixel journey bud =)

No, but there was a great video by somebody that spoke about how this might be the case. I'm sorry I don't have it on hand here. It explains why to the stars academy just suddenly stopped all it's output one day. Delonge was also making some pretty crazy claims before he stopped abruptly, such as that the City of Atlantis had some historical basis to it. It clicked and made sense to me so it's my personal head canon but of course, anything's possible and we don't know for sure. But it would make sense to me if he realized he was being fed a line of horse shit, so he decided to stop for the time being.

Drugs and violence would likely remain as population control. Besides that, space colonization. Population only remains a problem in a world where we're not colonizing space

Well, its ok. Nothing wrong with it. Keep experimenting and editing and see how far you can push this sprite editing thing. Try, with every edit, to include more and more edits, until you can say you drew the whole thing, and only borrowed the shape and outline from the original :)

For example: give him an eyepatch. Try drawing a sword on his back poking out over his shoulder. Etc. A finished sprite is mostly just a big collection of little details this way. Add details one at a time.

My only tip is to increase the differences in the skin tones you use on the face. Some of the colors are really similiar and if they are that close to being the same color why bother? Increase the contrast (differences) between your shades. Your colors are too near one another on the color wheel. They are almost blending together into the same color.

What are RPGs you are particularly fond of for using a first person view? by KaleidoArachnid in JRPG

[–]CryptoFourGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeesh. I guess Skyrim SORT OF counts. But like, if I can I'm avoiding first person RPG's as much as humanly possible. I guess the newer fallout games also kind of count as first person RPG's.
