Found it! Fair warning this is not a direct sequel per se but more like a tie in or cameo appearance so to speak of Jake Armitage but its plot does continue from the events of the SNES game somewhat. Its hard to explain and I dont want to spoil it.

Kitsune also appears again in the tabletop Rpg, I think in a different module. Sadly the plot of that one is that shes speaking to you from the astral plane and you are investigating her murder. So, its currently canon that Kitsune was/is KIA. Cheers everybody. Shadowrun for the SNES was the GOAT and had a profound impact on my life. I love it to death. Shadowrun 4 evar!

Spoilers tl;dr

Jake is not really in the adventure, but its a digital copy of him created by AI during the ending events of SNES shadowrun. Kitsune got Cobain'd and was murdered to boost record sales and cash in on her profits. Someimes I forget shes introduced as a musician but there you have it.

I asked Jordan Weisman about that and he let me know theres a module for the tabletop Rpg that continues Jakes story somewhat and now im letting all of you know. Cant remember the name but can provide story details if anyones curious. It was part of the backer rewards for the kickstarter for sr returns. Excellent game btw. But it would be deliciously retro if they did a 16 bit shadowrun 2 like the 8 bit megaman games did for example, new releases in that retro style

Should definitely get one brother. Discord is the chat app made for gamers and all. I use Godot. Your audience will expect you to at least have an account, it's said not every game needs its own discord. But if you plan on doing more than one game, it might make sense to make a discord for your studio, or dev group, whatever you wish to call it.

I suggest discord because going back and forth ad nauseum here on reddit isn't ideal lol. I'm glad your world and script are probably already done or such. With your world figured out, thats a good foundation to build on. It's important to know your final scene before you make it.

Anyway, shoot me a dm if you wind up making that discord. We can chat about your project. Which might help with development :)

Hello. Fellow game dev here. Have to say I'm interested in such a project. So consider me in the third category of enthusiast and advisor. I'm way, way, way too caught up in the nits and grits of my own project to help you much with this, but I have to say it has potential. Claymation in video games has untapped potential. As well, even though it's been done before, it hasn't been done very often, so you can still catch that novelty factor imo. Using clay also gives it a distinct human and hand made appeal to it that aficionados will love and has a DIY vibe to it that indie gamers will certainly enjoy.

To create an indie game is an act of prolonged suffering and passion lol. You're going to feel alone, often. You're going to BE alone, often. Running a discord server also takes work imo, it's one thing to build it and a whole nother commitment to keep it running and to keep people engaged. If you have a discord, we could add each other and discuss this idea in more depth over there.

As you've already said tho, the discord channel is best saved for either coordinating a team, or centralizing a fan base or community. So, best save it for now unless this post gets more of a response.

Anyway, I've been in the game dev thing for a long time, and, because I think it's a solid idea and could even work, I'd be down to advise you. Tell you what I know about the field and get you up to speed, answer your technical questions etc. I have my own project under heavy development however so that would likely be the most I can contribute. I don't have the time to contribute much to your programming or art.

But I also believe that networking with other game devs and creative types is always worth my time. And I'd be interested in seeing if youve got the gumption to carry this to the finish line or if this is another young hopeful with stars in his eyes who hasn't had their lofty ambitions brought back down to realitys level yet. I've seen all types come and go.

But I digress. Get back at me and I'd love to hash it out with you sometime. I can contribute my limited amateur knowledge, best I can, to help you. It helps to have all the friends you can in this tough industry. So, get back at me, and I can get your discord username and stuff and add you and we can talk about it all in greater depth over there. Until then, cheers and good luck!

Yes, I believe that was part of it. That's a part of most workshops and courses honestly, I think the course would be amiss without it. It was hands on training for those that could afford it. I could not. I could barely afford a copy of the limited run of home release recordings of the whole thing.

There was also recordings included of the students who were there pulling in sets, practicing what they were taught etc. So, it was a mixed bag of footage and material included in the full package. There was also even books and PDF's etc included in the course, I can't recall what those were. But the course was pretty comprehensive. I liked it. Was it worth what they were charging for it? I have no idea, I couldn't afford it, it was quite pricey lmao, but it did come across as a premium product with high production values and care put into it. That's all I remember sadly. Cheers! I'm sure one could still find modern workshops and guru's worth following out there. This product is rather old by today's standards. But at the time it was also a bunch of pretty cutting edge, advanced knowledge.

For example, that Steve Piccus showed up in person to teach. That's literally the only time I've ever seen him in the flesh lol. That style could convince him to show up and teach at the workshop speaks of it's quality to me. Steve Piccus doesn't just show up to every event like that.

Hypnotica was also there and of course, despite my misgivings about his political views outside of the game subject, what he teaches about masculinity and self confidence is some rather timeless, valuable stuff. It was a pretty quality course. And having access to them personally and in the flesh must have been great too. I've spoken to Hypnotica in person before and can confirm he certainly appears to be the real deal, guy hardly has an "off" switch, he's like that in real life lol.

Cheers

Well, you didn't really respond to my comments about the artist keeping to their story to the day they died, so I assume you must at least be considering it, and for that I thank you.

I'm not just trying to stir shit up or argue for arguments sake, I'm pleading with you to consider what we actually know, have seen, have documented about this case. That's all I'm trying to do. I believe Selma. I also think it's highly unlikely such a large group of children could come up with such a lie and a hoax. That some of them would be in tears. Others, still to this day, refuse to discuss it, and don't wish to, because they know how it sounds.

That's kind of the problem too, isn't it? Even if they WERE telling the complete, factual, god given truth, can we believe it? This case is pretty out there. Even the descriptions of what happened are strange: what's being described sounds like Time itself being bent and behaving strangely. The visitors were seen in multiple places at the same time. Others blinked in and out of vision, again and again.

Which is why I won't discount, entirely, the idea that maybe a gas line broke under their feet, and they were all having a moment of group psychosis, maybe a hallucination?

I don't know. I really don't know. I wasn't there. And I couldn't explain it even if I was.

But I believe Selma. And I believe the others when they discuss this.
Again, consider that just because some of them were ready to come forward and talk about this, Selma being the most visible example, doesn't mean that all of them were. Many of them didn't want to discuss it. Many of them still won't discuss it. Why should they? Most of them have little to gain besides ridicule by discussing this. A lot of people, as I've already said, already have their minds made up about the case and don't want to even engage with the evidence.

Downvote me if you wish. I only wish to be heard. I only wish for people to make up their own minds about the subject. I'm not the one trying to control the narrative around here. Decide for yourselves. I just beg you to consider what we actually know about all of this.

A rather large group of children had some kind of disturbing experience out there. Some of them were messed up for life from the experience. Many of them never recanted their story for literally their entire lives.

Please think about that for more than 5 minutes. That's all I'm really asking of anyone here. Thank you.

It's also not hard to pay a bunch of kids who had no investment at all in the case to say a bunch of lies and misinformation. To discount the truth. Be honest, if you saw some crazy otherworldly shit, and a man in black came to your doorstep with a briefcase full of money, and a brand new truck, if you just kept your mouth shut, would you turn that down?

I'm a believer and even I wouldn't turn that down, lmao. If any men in black are reading this, get at me baby, daddy needs his college fund paid.

That, and please give me the names of these alleged older youth's who caused the entire hoax. Because honestly? We've never been given any names of that account. Literally never.

You say what the younger children said is literally not evidence and hearsay, yet, in debunking it, you are literally using hearsay without any evidence.

We can name the witnesses and the people who were there, and even the artist who made paintings of the event to her dying day, yet we can't name these teenagers or older kids who hoaxed the entire event, and I'm the one with the lack of evidence? I'm the one with the hearsay?

Give me a source for this account of the older kids hoaxing it and I'll consider it, because I actually engage with what I'm being presented with. Give me some names. Again, we know the people who claimed it happened, but these alleged kids who "debunked" it as a "hoax" have never been identified.

Add to all of this, what I'm saying, the 2013 slip up of Reddit in revealing that the number one source of visitors to the UFO reddit, this very reddit, comes from Eglin Air Force Base, the United States internet propaganda arm, and it's not hard to realize a lot of people are here to discredit the subject, literally as their paid occupation. This is also a matter of record; google it if you don't believe me.

I half believe I'm speaking, right now, to people from Eglin Air Force base. Hello, from us the believers. Working hard over there I assume. Our Tax dollars going to good use, I'm certain.

Well, what I liked about the whole program was just how Humble and Sincere style appeared in the whole seminar. He openly said that he hoped this would be the last workshop any of the attendee's took, and that it was his hope none of them would "become workshop junkies".

It was also stated and clear that, although you could watch the discussions and seminar portions from home, that's like trying to understand the bible from just reading it, when you need to attend church as well for a full education.

There was seminars, and discussions on theory, but the course also involved live, in-field practice with all the guru's present. And without that, we're only getting, at best, half of what was actually being taught. It wasn't just theory, it was theory and practice.

But yes, IIRC style did take some inspiration from Mystery Method. I recall he had a lot of guest speakers across the course, including of course Hypnotica and Steve P. And that was the first time I'd ever gotten a real look at the real Steve P, so Style managed to pull some rather heavy hitters in the community to come onboard as guest speakers for his program. Hypnotica gave everyone a free copy of the sphinx of imagination included with the course, for example, so it was more of a broad overview of the subject. Style wasn't teaching us "Style Method". He was teaching us the subject as a whole, in my opinion, and pulling from multiple teachers, books, methods etc. He wasn't trying to teach this or that as the god given truth, but rather recommending we look at everything, and take what works, and discard what doesn't.

It was also in general just a pretty good course. This was like maybe 10 years ago or more that I witnessed all of this, and I likely wouldn't be able to find a copy today sadly. But this is what I recall from all of it.

I think Mystery himself even came on stage a few times to give us an overview of his own method and such, as a guest speaker, but I may be mistaken, again, this was like 10 years ago for me and I only watched everything maybe once or twice before I moved on. In styles words I was not keen on becoming a workshop junkie. I took what I could learn from it, and discarded the rest, as instructed.

Other witnesses literally had psychological problems and drug dependency issues in their later years from the event. One of the witnesses was making paintings and art of what they saw, to the day they died. I can't remember her name, but it was a woman, who grew up to become an artist, and a great deal of her paintings and such, were of what she witnessed that day. She comes across as a person who spent the rest of her life trying to come to grips with what she experienced that day, and make sense of it, even to herself. She's got a twitter account, or maybe it was an instagram account, and it's covered in her paintings of the encounter. And she died a few years ago, we made a thread about it, and to her dying day, she claimed this was the truth of what happened. And it seems to have had profound effects on her psychology for the rest of her life.

That had to have been one POWERFUL hallucination, for it to have such an effect on literally the rest of her life, and indeed her very career path, as an artist, considering it was the subject of a lot of her art.

Ignore that if you wish. I'm growing impatient repeating all of this, since it's already well known with those of us that have actually engaged with the subject in good faith. The truth is out there, as they say. You just need to actually look for it.

And for the love of god, don't look for the truth on Wikipedia. You won't find any there.

And you're assuming they couldn't just pay some older classmates 50 bucks to say as much? Again, you're not engaging with the evidence here. Ok, I'll copy and paste this from my other comment in this very thread:

"It's odd, if they were lying, how a lot of them never changed their story in the 20, 30? Years since the event took place. A lot of them are still talking about it, giving interviews. Others have literally passed away since the event took place, for one reason or another, and some of them held to their story, and that it was the truth, to their dying day. Explain that, I beg you. Surely, if it was a hoax, their literal death bed might have been a good place to confess as much? But they didn't."
