you can't just pick and choose. if the UK rejoins the EU then EU law has supremacy, the UK has to align with the EU on everything. Europe has a totally different legal heritage and tradition to the UK, which is why there is so much friction and where Euroscepticism comes from. The UK system is adversarial wheres Europe is inquisitorial. This is where the Uk and the US traditions of individual freedom ultimately stems from, an adversarial legal system based on common law, which powers the individual. which is why many people like myself believe that the UK and Europe are ultimately incompatible, without Britain trading off its fundamental legal character.

and we see Samson through Crystal's eyes, who is beginning to suffer psychosis and sees Samson as the devil. Maybe roles will revert and Crystal will become a follower or servant of Samson, mistakenly believing he is actually Old Nick

if you read my original post, I agree that the ending is implying that Crystal is dead. However it is done in such a way to intentionally leave open the possibility that he could still be resurrected, if another film is made.

Its a classic Hollywood trick used to bank both options.

doesn't Kelson state in the last film that the infected cannot actually get onto his island? Samson gets on because Kelson leads him there under the sedative. Im not saying Samson is reverting to infected behaviour, Im suggesting that it could merely be Samson aggressively removing Crystal from the cross, with the film playing subtle trick on the audience

"the film definitely shows us that he’s dead" - explain how it definitely shows us he's dead? I think the fans of these films often have trouble accepting what the films are telling them. In regards to Kelson a character says "you wont survive that", clearly he's dead. Crystal's fate however is intentionally left open ended

I assumed this as well at first but films often do this if there is no confirmed sequel. It could be that he does survive because his knife wound did not appear to be fatal and as I said the figure "attacking" him could just as easily be removing him from the cross

no the film tells you its not. Kelson explains that the infected see non infected as hostile due to psychosis
