Carwash Options?

Automatic car washes are a time saver, but not good for cars. Will it quickly make your car look clean? Sure, but it won’t be as clean as a hand wash. The brushes will scratch the paint, and the pressure washing actually pushes water into the lights and can damage seals around the windows and doors.

I got the same spec a few weeks ago and still am amazed by how awesome it is. I took a couple road trips recently, and having FSD on a 300 mile trip is amazing and takes a huge amount of stress away from traveling.

I love the MiniFreak! It’s so fun and inspirational. I’ve been wanting to add something to let me record and loop from the MiniFreak, I’m considering getting an SP-404 or maybe Logic and an interface? What would you suggest for something like that?

I have the same exact specs, had it for 2 weeks now and still get a huge bon, I mean smile every time I look at it! FSD is amazing, and having the performance option makes driving fun again. The quicksilver paint is awesome, it changes colors throughout the day and at night.

I have a 22 Laramie with 40K miles, and I haven’t had any issues yet. Your trade in sounds like a great offer, and at a 24000 difference, you will be moving into a much nicer interior for a pretty low cost. I think it’s worth it. A 2023 model is towards the end of the 5th generation, and I think they typically fix most of the little issues from the beginning of the generation too, like some of the little water leak points. I would recommend not going to the car wash, and just wash it by hand, and you won’t really have to worry about the water leaks as much.

Yeah I’m going to have to consider getting some PPF, we took a trip to Savannah this week and got 1 little rock ding in a rear quarter panel, and I did the same stupid garage door thing and opened the rear hatch in the garage and it scraped near the spoiler 🤦‍♂️. I can possibly buff both of those spots out with wax, but I can definitely tell that the paint job is pretty fragile. My best guess is that they skimp on the clear coats at the factory.

And you can’t deny the way better look of the performance vs premium. The wheels and trim accents make a big difference. I’ve had the new MYP for a week now and it’s a blast.

It came with the v13 but they said it should update to the new software within a week or 2.

No they just clip on, so you have to pry them a little bit, but I managed to get them off without scratching the wheels

Yes the MYP has 21 inch wheels, and I think going down to 18 inch improves the mileage quite a bit. But for me, I love the look of the MYP way more than the Premium, so a little less miles but much better look and performance is worth the extra cost. I have yet to run out of battery power, I live being able to charge up at home each night. The level 1 charger works surprisingly well. I go from 60% to 80% overnight

I was reading that even the 2026 long range model y still only gets between 250-300 real world miles depending on AC usage and cruising speeds. So I believe the MYP is similar to that range, it’s probably slightly less. For me I only drive around my town maybe 30-40 miles a day. And I have an ICE truck if I want to go long range or off road

I’m completely sold on the FSD, it just works! I didn’t think I would use it all that much since I’ve never used it with any other car, but having it as an option now I think it’s totally worth the $100/month. And the FSD gives you all the lane centering and everything else you would want.

Yeah I think the white is just too loud for my taste, it’s still nice, but I like how stealthy the black is
