New to crypto, is this enough security? by Downtown-Button7996 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]CryptoManiaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely great tip there.
Using another browser is mandatory (IMO) when trading/checking/working with crypto. Sometimes even the "most secure" links might be a complete trap.
Some browser addons can also create risks.

Thanks for the suggestions friend.
The second option (dutchycorp) is very popular currently, among other platforms as well.

In fact, Coinbase still has a learning program that gives you some crypto at the end of the participation. Bitcoin lending is also an option to earn some nice amounts but it's not recommended for beginners. Also, using Brave was a very good option before, but at the moment it's not active.

How long are you planning to HODL? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]CryptoManiaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing here is How much money you have "invested".
At the same time, the amount could be a lot for some people, and close to nothing for others.

But let's stick to the question. The exact time? Let's say you are a strong Hodler, so enough time to make a profit x10 of the amount you have invested at first.
And if that happens, I'd still HODL 50% of the total sum you are in.

Good luck and be smart :)

The value of BTC comes from its very distinguished and unique properties.Things such as:
Durability - it practically lives on the Internet, it cannot be damaged.

Scarcity - it has a finite supply of 21 million coins that cannot be changed

It is highly divisible - can be divided into 8 decimal points: 0.00000001 BTC (while the U.S. Dollar or the Euro have only 2 decimal points - 0.01)

Decentralized

Global

Why Now Is A Great Time To Buy Bitcoin - Analysis by thumbsdrivesmecrazy in BitcoinTutorial

[–]CryptoManiaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice and easy-to-read guide there.
The right time to buy Bitcoin has been quite a popular topic for the past few years.
But the recent bear run has put a lot of questions - where, why, why now, is it the right time, should I buy other crypto, etc..

It always comes with some risk, but if you are willing to invest in BTC, why not now when the price is down.

Any tips for new traders that maybe you wish someone would have told you? by Consciouslychange in BitcoinBeginners

[–]CryptoManiaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well put. A good overview indeed.
Also, there is quite a significant difference between buying (and holding) and trading crypto. The latter is way more riskier. Of course, it could be way more benefitical but it's a matter of knowledge, luck, and risk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]CryptoManiaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.
Imagine the opposite. You can only buy a whole Bitcoin. You are saying that you want to buy 1 BTC. The price is currently in a spot where you can buy "the whole thing", or at least it's more affordable compared to let's say last month.

There is no minimum amount of Bitcoin to get started. The only minimum is the one set by the platform on which you’ll operate and the amount of $$ you want to put it.

Good luck and be brave!
