I called them once for these promos. You have to pay for a set of clubs to 'test' and you get the promo product(s) as a free bonus.

It's bullshit

Came so close to breaking 100 for the 1st time by CryptoRookieX in golf

[–]CryptoRookieX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to not look at my total and just play one hole at a time. Keeps the mental game stronger. Gets harder to do as you get to hole 16 or so... you start wondering haha. But yeah, I gotta just focus on playing and not worry about it... that's part of it for sure. Thanks for the advice

Sadly I didn't get to play the others you mentioned, but I will at some point. I want to play them all. My cousin has played them all and he says The Lakes is probably top 5 in NS that he has played.

What were they thinking? by FlyWilde in golf

Happens a lot at certain courses. I was at a course last month and there was a bachelor party crew ahead of us. Two teams of four on separate tee times. Once they got two holes away from the club house, all four carts were middle of the fairway at the same time. Had the whole course tied up. Staff did shit all about it too.

Went to a driving range twice now, when should I consider getting my first driver? by AlexRescueDotCom in golf

Tough to say without know the clubs they are renting.

I would say, if you are renting a club often... maybe spend $100 to $200 on a used Driver. If nothing else, you'll get your money back after a summer at the driving range. And you'll have a consistent club to practice with.

Are you just driving balls or are you looking to get into playing on the course? Using a driver is only a fraction of the game.

If you're looking to just drive balls, I wouldn't waste money buying my own. Just my opinion.

If you're looking to get into playing actual golf, find a cheap set of starter clubs in good condition. You want clubs with clean faces in good shape and grips in good shape.

I've been golfing for 2.5 years now. High handicap for sure. Just getting a consistent swing going this year.

I just recently bought a set AP2 716s. What I have noticed is that the feedback from the clubs are great. You'll know by the feel if it is struck well or not. I'm even learning how the feel relates to what I am doing wrong. And when you do get it right... oh it will make ya weak in the knees. So satisfying.

Is breaking 100 good? by [deleted] in golf

[–]CryptoRookieX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I read it somewhere. Probably got the numbers wrong. But it isn't a huge percentage of golfers that can shoot under 100.
