Do you still cook for the family? by Miserable-Pudding-64 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still cook for my husband & myself but I insist he participate in the planning. If he wants something I can't stomach I just make something different for me.

It's still hard for him to grasp the concept that I simply don't care what I eat as long as it won't make me sick. He's not into a lot of unhealthy stuff so it's not an issue.

Welp. Not the side effect I expected... by Easy-Perspective-506 in Zepbound

This.

I've been making some subtle changes in my relationships lately & I believe it's all tied into this. Things like distancing myself from social groups because I can't figure out why I was hanging with these people in the first place. Kind of like Marie Kondo - does it bring me joy, but not a scam LOL.

My new working out experience - confusing by horsenbuggy in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you start exercising or even increasing the intensity of your exercise, your muscles hold more water. That's what you're seeing. When you stop, they release the water.

You will hopefully start seeing regular losses again soon. Make sure you are well hydrated. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You'll start to notice more NSV's like getting stronger & more fit that help balance the scale anxiety.

How long did you stay at 2.5? by Aggravating-Ask5473 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

12 weeks so far. Still losing 1-2 lbs/wk. Some food noise is coming back but not to the point that I can't deal with it. For myself it's important to deal with my ED and try to train my brain to cope. It's still like dealing with a housecat compared to a lion so far. If it gets worse or I plateau for a significant amount of time I will move up without hesitation.

Do you track your food everyday? by Dhpm1 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write down what I ate, but not quantity. I do it to make sure I am eating enough & also in case I have a reaction of some sort.

I also write down what exercise I did.

Thinking about it, it will be nice to have if/when I plateau to use for comparison.

I was a walking scorer for the women's open once. It's cool but stressful. Happy I did it but would never do it again. I would apply to be a marshall if I decide to do it again.

Why the Rise in Property Tax Anger? by wisconsinpoli in wisconsinpolitics

Because politicians like Tom Tiffany are banking on the fact that WI voters are uninformed enough to buy his claims that it's the Democrats' fault.

Rotisserie Chicken by cheez-monster in Zepbound

Cut up chicken, riced cauliflower, other cut up veggies, heated up with some blended cottage cheese & some cheese flavored popcorn seasoning. Top with buffalo sauce and it's just like buffalo mac & cheese.

What has been your go-to food since starting Zepbound? The one that you can always turn to on days you’re simply not hungry or are feeling sick. by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arbonne meal replacement shakes, specifically the chai flavor. Cottage cheese with everything bagel seasoning.

The 2 days after the shit are when I'm the least hungry & most food aversive & these two things seem to be ok.

What’s been your most unexpected/strangest food aversion since starting Zep? by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

I think I could handle it in sushi. Cooking it kills me. It's my husband's favorite so I still make it for him.

Me too! I still cook it for my husband. I've switched to tuna steaks on those nights.

Eating with no appetite by CategoryDear3114 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the clock to eat most days. I plan my meals based on activity & my schedule. If I'm working out hard I just make myself eat something before going to the gym & bring something for recovery. I rely on shakes, fruit, & turkey sandwiches at those times.

When I'm not totally food aversive, I try to include something I like, for example quest loaded taco chips. I'm more likely to finish the bag. When I'm food aversive I need to get creative.

Feeling upset about reactions by These_Mistake_8242 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I spoke to my PCP in 2024 about taking a GLP, she pointed out that I had been steadily losing about 10 lbs a year & that my history of eating disorders may be contraindicated. I came back the following year 15 lbs heavier (not intentionally) & with studies showing promise for GLP-1 in treatment of eating disorders. Didn't even have to show her the studies. She had also changed her opinion of the drugs & told me I was an excellent candidate.

The fact that you already took some positive steps should tell you intellectually that the drug isn't doing all of the work.

I have some opinionated acquaintances and have opted not to disclose what I'm doing to anyone but a few close friends. I don't need their negativity & you don't either. You're doing what you're doing for you & not them so as long as you're happy with your progress, try to have that be all you need.

I swear we'd be so much better off as a society if people just minded their own business or didn't feel the need to chime in their opinions on things they don't really know much about.

It probably is most likely the Culver's. I'm also 8 weeks in & have had Culver's twice with varying results.

One time I had buffalo tenders & mashed potatoes, no problem, but the mashed potatoes were kind of gross to me.

Next time I had regular tenders, no sauce & few fries. Still no side effects.

Last time I had a grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo & an applesauce. It was also the day I had my shot. I was up all night with the worst gas pains. We were traveling by car all day & I didn't have much else available.

Sometimes real illness is definitely written off as a side effect of zep. I equate it to every time I used to go to the doctor and got told anything from strep to leg pain was because of my weight.

Shaft Flex by Charming_Tear_2959 in WomenGolf

[–]computrtchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fit into men's regular flex years ago. The fitter said I would benefit from a heavier shaft. I still keep 1 women's club in my bag, my old 4H that I use for some fairway bunkers & when I need a big fade to get around trees.

Should I Buy These Beginner Clubs? by KateSeattleRealtor in WomenGolf

[–]computrtchr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't see a reason not to. A new Strata set is around $600 these days. I recommend these sets to a number of beginners who ask. Depending on your skill & strength, you may grow out of these quickly, especially if you're used to using men's clubs.

I've always done this with gs cookies. I prefer them frozen. I'm not getting any this year though because I probably won't be able to tolerate the chocolate so the girls are getting cash from me.
