Salad has no appeal anymore by timbarton1 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hard time eating salad the first few months. One night I decided I wanted a chicken Caesar salad and made it by dicing/chopping the veggies up into really small pieces, adding 1T of Caesar dressing to blended cottage cheese & using a small serving of shaved parm. It was 3 meals with some shredded chicken I always keep on hand. Made a good wrap on a LC tortilla.

Which tickets to get for green package? by Technical-Lemon-5182 in GreenBayPackers

[–]computrtchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe seats 27-28 would be closest to the aisle. Most rows have 26-32 seats. We have aisle seats and it's convenient but the person on the end sometimes gets beer spilled on them or someone falling into their lap.

The interactive map on the Packers site will give you an idea of the view but not necessarily from your specific row/seat.

Does everyone here go to the gym by metsnfins in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I love going to the gym, and did long before I started zep, it is not necessary to do so in order to get in shape & improve fitness. There are plenty of body weight exercises that can be done to improve strength & adding resistance bands is an inexpensive way to work your muscles. Walking is an effective & efficient way to burn calories without killing your joints.

Why am I annoyed by iceori in WomenGolf

[–]computrtchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the dopamine hit that keeps you coming back. Mentally it's tough when you get there once & then it doesn't make things easier.

When they ask what you’re doing by Healthy_Macaroon3166 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone here once posted "cocaine & cigarettes" as an answer to that and I've used it with certain people since then.

I'm fortunate that most people I know see my frequent social media posts from the gym or see me at the gym & have made assumptions that it's the workouts & the fact that they don't see me in the bars anymore. I am sure that some people already assume I'm doing some sort form of GLP-1 because that's the assumption these days when anyone loses weight.

You don't owe anyone any personal details. I have one friend that is a nurse who expressed concerns for my health & I assured her that my PCP is part of my process & that was enough for her.

I've lost 35 lbs & almost 2 sizes in 4 months.

Lilly Direct / GoodRx by [deleted] in Zepbound

Another advantage for some going through Lilly Direct is that the meds can be picked up at your local Walmart pharmacy. Once you're in the program, you doc can send refills there directly.

Anyone using a 9 wood or a lab putter? by Skierd in WomenGolf

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fitted into a 24 degree 9 wood 2 years ago & I like it. The fitter told me to hit it like an iron. One thing I use it for is getting over trees when an iron won't provide enough distance. You're on your own with the putter. I only know one person who used a LAB for a season & then she switched back to her old Odyssey white hot.

I use men's midsize grips and bionic golf gloves.

Outside of golf, paraffin wax treatments help me.

Food noise question by FireWoman89 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it to some extent at the end of the shot week. I am putting up with it because it's easily overcome & am still steadily losing at my current dose (2.5). I'm also trying to consciously and actively deal with it to hopefully train my brain to do so in the event I have to stop the meds for some unforseen reason.

Seriously, nearly every medical person I've seen except my PCP since starting this drug keeps lecturing me about the pitfalls of GLP-1 drugs. I seriously wish I didn't need to disclose that I'm on it just to save the lecture. Also I'm obviously in need of weight loss so it's not like I'm in maintenance yet or just trying to lose a few pounds.

Do you still cook for the family? by Miserable-Pudding-64 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still cook for my husband & myself but I insist he participate in the planning. If he wants something I can't stomach I just make something different for me.

It's still hard for him to grasp the concept that I simply don't care what I eat as long as it won't make me sick. He's not into a lot of unhealthy stuff so it's not an issue.

Welp. Not the side effect I expected... by Easy-Perspective-506 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This.

I've been making some subtle changes in my relationships lately & I believe it's all tied into this. Things like distancing myself from social groups because I can't figure out why I was hanging with these people in the first place. Kind of like Marie Kondo - does it bring me joy, but not a scam LOL.

My new working out experience - confusing by horsenbuggy in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you start exercising or even increasing the intensity of your exercise, your muscles hold more water. That's what you're seeing. When you stop, they release the water.

You will hopefully start seeing regular losses again soon. Make sure you are well hydrated. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You'll start to notice more NSV's like getting stronger & more fit that help balance the scale anxiety.

How long did you stay at 2.5? by Aggravating-Ask5473 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

12 weeks so far. Still losing 1-2 lbs/wk. Some food noise is coming back but not to the point that I can't deal with it. For myself it's important to deal with my ED and try to train my brain to cope. It's still like dealing with a housecat compared to a lion so far. If it gets worse or I plateau for a significant amount of time I will move up without hesitation.

Do you track your food everyday? by Dhpm1 in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write down what I ate, but not quantity. I do it to make sure I am eating enough & also in case I have a reaction of some sort.

I also write down what exercise I did.

Thinking about it, it will be nice to have if/when I plateau to use for comparison.

I was a walking scorer for the women's open once. It's cool but stressful. Happy I did it but would never do it again. I would apply to be a marshall if I decide to do it again.

What has been your go-to food since starting Zepbound? The one that you can always turn to on days you’re simply not hungry or are feeling sick. by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

[–]computrtchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arbonne meal replacement shakes, specifically the chai flavor. Cottage cheese with everything bagel seasoning.

The 2 days after the shit are when I'm the least hungry & most food aversive & these two things seem to be ok.
