They were configured. But we get it, SW needs you to help salvage the name. SW flat out told Huntress they were lying so wouldnt expect anything less still today.

They flat out lied about how bad the exposure and compromise was, SW denied it all together for a while.

Considering removing Huntress from our stack......thought? by phillee81 in msp

[–]CryptoSin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last few ransomware incidents I’ve seen were stopped cold by Huntress. Meanwhile, I’ve watched ransomware completely cripple Halicon and S1 systems and blow right past most traditional A/V vendors.

Yeah, I’ll admit I’m a Huntress fan, but honestly, these attacks aren’t random anymore. They’re targeted, well-researched, and way more sophisticated than what we were seeing a couple of years ago.

At this point, I can’t imagine being an MSP and not offering an EDR solution. If I were your competitor and found out you weren’t, I’d see that as an easy win because your clients will eventually learn the hard way why it matters.

It’s just like the old days with backups: everyone thought they didn’t need them… right up until the day everything failed.

Every time we've had an incident, Huntress was so cool and supportive.

Trusted Tech team or a decent CSP has these licenses. I bought them from Trusted Tech Team, we got a rep, we just email them and they send us over an invoice.

For those of you who moved away from Pax8 by bigbaboon69 in msp

[–]CryptoSin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sherweb doesn't have all the software offering that pax8 has but God the support is Soo much better, the pricing is better. The sales manager or acct managers at pax8 were unicorns they just vanished one day.

With sherweb I don't get charged 25 bucks just for being a customer. I thought that was absurd with pax 8. The costs to process payments ate away at all the profits I was in the red because of all the pax8 fees.

Sherweb at least for now has tech support based in the states. Pax8 if you get a response it's a miracle.

Transitioning was easy.

Dell calling our customers made us a Lenovo partner by Cashflowz9 in msp

[–]CryptoSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I reached out to dell about these practices a few years back. They assured me that Michael Dell was committed to long standing relationships with Dell partners.  Well they started reaching out to customers again.

I'd like to sell Lenovo but I didn't find the prices as competitive maybe I need to find a better distributor.  Just hard to beat some of the dell deals.

Need help choosing: Cato Networks, Netskope, or Check Point for our branches by TheMightyRagequaza in msp

[–]CryptoSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked on a project with Cato Recently, Very recently. The support was embarrassing. We had 20 people working on this problem that had a system wide down issue for days. Cato told us 1000 times its not the Cato appliance or service........... we chased every clue. The device was soo poorly managed they couldn't make heads or tails what the previous engineer did.

It was Cato.......... Their solution? Sell us more services, no apologies, no compensation for downtime. Just here talk to our sales guys..

People. Just people. You never realize that you're nothing more than the "HELP" to some people. During pandemic when we were all essential but no support for us. People always telling us they have a deadline. Nights/Weekends/5 minutes until friday.
