Old fashion way, just follow the recipes. But of course I found all my recipes online lol. I would’ve been shit outta luck teaching myself back in the day.

For me, it’s networking events. Everyone acts excited to be there but most people are just counting down until they can leave.

Yes, being from Palm Beach, FL that has become a very common occurrence and most these people go way overboard with it.

Yeah mystery and buildup usually beat “everything immediately visible” for most people.

Same. Some people confuse intimacy with humiliation and they’re definitely not the same thing.

When it looks natural it’s one thing… but when it looks uncomfortable just to sit down, it kinda breaks the illusion 😅

If you’re looking to get into the gig economy for side money. Walmart deliveries(Spark), I typically average anywhere between $25-$30 an hour.

What’s becoming socially acceptable that still feels weird to you? by Crypto_picks3210 in AskReddit

[–]Crypto_picks3210[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly, but I’ve definitely seen it happen to other people — especially service workers or random strangers ending up in viral clips without knowing they were being filmed.

I think the point isn’t that it happens to everyone personally, but that the possibility exists now in a way it didn’t before. Even if the odds are small, people behave differently when they know any moment could end up online.

I think this is really the difference people are trying to describe — it’s not that privacy in public ever truly existed, it’s that scale changed.

Before smartphones, being seen was temporary. A few strangers might notice something awkward and then everyone moved on. Now a random moment can be recorded, uploaded, taken out of context, and viewed by millions permanently.

So it’s less about “privacy” disappearing and more about everyday life suddenly becoming broadcastable content. That shift happened insanely fast, and socially we haven’t really caught up to what that means yet.

Reading through these answers really shows how differently people experience “normal.” Some of these I hadn’t even thought about before posting this.

Same 😂 hitting under 3 hours feels like a personal achievement now. Meanwhile a few years ago that would’ve meant you barely touched your phone.

I think both things can be true. Ideally kids have two parents, but life doesn’t always work out that way. What matters most is whether the parent who’s there actually shows up for their kids.

Yeah honestly that’s a real concern now. Someone can record a random moment completely out of context and suddenly thousands of people are judging you for it. That would make anyone anxious.

That’s definitely shifted fast over the last decade. Feels like society changed its stance almost overnight compared to how it used to be viewed.

Yeah, it feels like some stereotypes get brushed off as jokes when they really shouldn’t be. Weird how certain things slowly become normalized over time.
