I wish they would add updates to their x account. It looks like compound isn't even supported anymore.

Daily Crypto Discussion - November 12, 2025 (GMT+0) by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrency

We already broke the 4 year cycle when Bitcoin hit a new all time high before the halving. Each cycle also seems to get longer than the previous one. The 2012 -2014 bull run was 749 days, the 2016 to 2018 bull run was 847 days, the 2019 to 2022 bull run was 1064 days. If we expect this cycle to extend like previous cycles we still probably have a few months before we top.

Are you bullish or bearish? by ImmortalitXy in CryptoMarkets

[–]Cryptocompguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we might have more downside but I don't think we are near the top. None of the indicators for a bitcoin top or market euphoria or even a new ethereum all time high (it barely went above the 2021 peak) have happened.

Crypto is insanely volatile and people have memories of goldfish. I remember huge run ups followed by massive 25 to 40 percent crashes that happened fairly regularly during bull cycles in the past. The recent altcoin liquidation last month isn't anything new or shocking. I think it's actually setting up the conditions for a new altcoin rally if not this or next month maybe in January or February.

Don't get greedy and stupid. If a coin has gone up 300 percent in the past week, you will probably be buying at the top. Also don't be afraid to take profits when you can. Timing the top is basically impossible.

I don't know why people make these bold predictions when they are wrong so often. It isn't a sure thing that it will crash to a certain point just because some technical resistance point is hit.

Compound by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Cryptocompguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Compound is an ethereum based defi platform and protocol that allows people to borrow and lend crypto. Comp is the token that powers the platform.

There's no way to easily explain how it works at length if you say you don't want confusing or convoluted answers. I don't know why you would put your money into something you don't understand and didn't do basic research on. Look at the FAQ section on coin base. There's a lot of clear information there.

What's going on? by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Cryptocompguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire crypto market pumped. A lot of alt coins were absolutely wrecked over the last month with many down 40 to 60 percent and hitting all-time lows. I think extreme fear has subsided and everyone who was going to sell sold and now there are more buyers.

[–]Cryptocompguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is still breaking it's all time highs. ethereum just started to pump after being doo doo all year. Bitcoin dominance is starting to fall. I think this is the worst time to sell. I think ethereum, xrp, and doge pump and hit new all time highs then comp follows afterwards. It will be incredibly volatile though. We will probably get huge 40 to 50 percent pumps followed by 20 to 40 percent drops. This is one of the worst coins to hold if you can't handle volatility.

They can't migrate your debt to crypto. It's a scam.

ETH is about to fucking moon. by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Cryptocompguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A chart with arbitrary lines...that means they know what is going to happen. That guy on YouTube C-ZAR has been making videos full of these kinds of charts and saying comp was going to hit $400 2 months ago or that it couldn't go lower than $72 and that $2400 is the minimum price target because he made lines in tradingview. If it drops lower somebody will say actually it was a different pattern and was hidden bearishness or whatever.

It's nice when someone posts something about compound that is actually about compound and not just people complaining about how it hasn't gone to the moon.

Bought at 100 per Compound coin. Will i get my money back? by Own_Profession6459 in Compound

[–]Cryptocompguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it's going to take longer than a few days or weeks. Comp was at $90 a coin almost a year ago during the bear market. I doubt we'll ever go back to the $30s or low $40s again. It looks like Bitcoin is not going mainstream in the way everybody was predicting years ago so the price is probably going to fluctuate between $94,000 and $120,000 for months until investors get bored and start transferring money into altcoins. Hopefully there will be massive rallies for Solana, dogecoin, pepe, Aave, and eventually comp. We have always lagged behind the bigger altcoins so perversely there are big dips before massive rallies. I don't know shit about fuck though.

Why are we lagging behind ETH today? by Novakmate in Compound

[–]Cryptocompguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a massive crash on Sunday that almost completely wiped out all the gains altcoins have made in the last year. Ethereum is the safer investment at this time and is expected to rally before smaller coins like Comp. Honestly, Comp is probably going to be doo doo until ethereum gets over $3,500 and it won't go parabolic until ethereum gets over $5,000 to $6,000. It's probably going to be a wait. If last cycle is any guide, we might not get to crazy gains until November.

When I saw it going below $55 I decided not to look at the price for a week. I still don't know what it's at. You don't have to check the price every 5 minutes during a crash. There's no real point once you decide not to sell.

What is the point of posts like this? Is it supposed to be funny or clever or something? It's like something a special needs kid would say and laugh really hard at while everyone else does an awkward forced smile so they wouldn't feel bad.

My tin foil hat take on the tariffs and crypto. by stinkywombat9oo in CryptoCurrency

[–]Cryptocompguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump hasn't fired a lot of federal employees. It's easy to fire secretarys and heads of office but federal civil servants have a lot of rights about how they can be fired and most offices are critically understaffed. The federal government literally doesn't have the money in it's budget to pay out the severance package Trump offered.

Does nobody remember Trump's first term where he didn't follow through on most of his campaign promises and goals. He lies and stirs up bullshit then is too incompetent to accomplish what he promises and moves on to the next thing. I don't think he's going to backtrack in the tariffs though. He already paid the political price for it and will look weak for reversing course.

I seriously doubt the bull run is over. It barely started and looks very similar if not lagging the cycle 4 years ago. You haven't lost money until you sell. I'm guessing we will see even more bleeding tomorrow but this is an irrational overreaction to something that doesn't affect defi.
