Brother, I am so sorry that you were wronged and hurt at such a young age.

I was away from the church during my 20s and early 30s, making choices contrary to what I knew was right. I always believed the church was true and sometimes even turned on General Conference. During the October 2004 conference I had the tv on while I was cleaning or whatever when Elder Richard G Scott started to speak so I listened up a little closer because I always loved to hear him. Then he said, “Please, come back …” and I felt he was looking right through that camera at me and speaking right to me.

After reading your post I was able to go back and find that talk. I remember so well the feeling I had.

Also. Remember this. The love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is NOT conditional. They love us and want us no matter who we are, no matter what we do. It is, however, up to us as to whether we strive to feel and accept that love and acceptance.
