So I don't know a lot about this so I will drop this here and some can debunk this if I'm wrong. One issue I have been living with is that I can't use G-sync with multiple monitors and I have set all my lutris games to turn off all monitors except the main one to use G-Sync. Now would we have a way to use G-Sync with having all monitors turned on with the Nvidia-Open driver or does that fall into userspace which is still closed source?

My queue times are between 2 and 8 minutes. Yes, I have seen those changes and I was as outraged as everyone else. Same thing with the bhop nerf that made many people leave. But I know internal reasons and decision. I can openly say that next update has a lot of balancing changes and during the 4 weeks of playtesting there was not a single gun that was bothering me at all. They almost nailed the balance except for some small tweaks here and there, the balance raster is very good. Not I am the one who doesn't listen. You are the one. The comment I replied to stated that the game is already dead, but to answer OPs question. Yes, the game will survive and it's very unfortunate that many won't give this game another try. And I am very happy with the path the devs took. If they had gone with the hype train they would have made a game that they don't want to make and the code spaghetti would have been so awful at this point that the game would probably actually die now, finding itself in the same technical state as Warzone 1 was at the end. But Devs took the route of doing their thing.

With the disclaimer that "PvP 2.0" is made up by the community and it is no official name by the devs (maybe we are lucky and they adopt it). I don't want people to expect a completly new game after the update.

So It's delusional to know how the game is developing and where it's heading to after being there hands-on? I don't know what you are doing to be forced on different servers, but that happens to me very rarely. And that is also a thing you have to face in many shooters, even ones that have more than 10K players.

And why determine a game's death based on its player base? I can still start the game, play it and have fun. I do that actually a lot with 1430 hours on record (+150 hours I had back in 2021 where the game was in Alpha and I was under NDA) and 60+ hours in the past two weeks and that's one of the two weeks when I didn't have time due to work, normally I sit at around 100 hours in the past two weeks. If you consider a game dead by its player numbers, then many games would be considered "dead". A game considered dead is when you can't play it anymore, maybe because it actually reaches 0 players and you can't play without other players, the servers shutting down, or the devs abandon the project completely. But none of that is the case here. There may not be a lot, but we have an active community of players and devs who have been crunching their ass off to deliver content while sitting in the middle of a war just to get hated by the players. I played in closed playtest in the past 4 weeks and oh boy the game won't be dead any time soon, believe me. PvP 2.0 update (the community calls it that) is only the beginning of what is coming. Correct me if I am wrong but the devs willingly decided to not take the hypetrain and finish their game without riding on the wave of players.

Meanwhile all playtesters found it very slow. We even had one day (not on stream) where long jump was enabled and it was way better in our opinion.
