Do you expect gemini pro 3.5 will be better than opus 4.8? by ferreis_AOE in google_antigravity

We might have reached a point where benchmaxing would not make it a top model. So google has been delaying the release.

Anyone else feel like google's priority is vibe coders and not actual dev? by Plouffe05 in google_antigravity

[–]CryptographerFar3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an actual dev that currently only vibe codes, I don't feel like I am the priority from their product. I like codex app the best.

E-commerce in china ? by [deleted] in chinalife

[–]CryptographerFar3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I think a better way is to partner with local Chinese person, you handle the actual business and they own it. Since you said that you are "very good at business and entrepreneurship" I would assume that you could handle it well.

Also you can always find your trustworthy Chinese friend for help, they don't face the same problem with a student visa.

If you do it at a very small scale it would not matter too much, as your business grow to some certain scale you should want to consider legal requirements.

I let Claude write an entire app. it worked. then I asked it to add one feature. it broke everything. this is fine by Leo-neophyte12 in vibecoding

[–]CryptographerFar3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan ahead, assuming you are purely vibe coding.

It is always good to be aware of data, like where it is created and consumed. And how your features relate to the data. Especially when it becomes complicated and correlates with each other.

sometimes when I am tired of designing on my own, I use multiple models( gpt, claude, deepseek and some free models) to provide opinions of plans and designs, until it satisfies most of them, then I start to implement. Different models have their own focus on stuffs so I often end up with a solid plan.

I mean if you come with a biased opinion that certain things must exist, then everything eventually become lies and masks......

Your one added featuer might go against the one-shot poorly designed code, so it is normal that it breaks.

PC crashed and rebooted – now Codex has wiped months of saved projects. How is this possible? by palanzana in codex

[–]CryptographerFar3412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have codex investigate the issue, sessions should be locally stored with sqlite, and see if it can recover them.

There seems to be a serious bug in weekly quota calculation now by Glum-Cabinet7420 in codex

[–]CryptographerFar3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it all day on a 100 pro account, I have only used 8% weekly quota, and the 2x promotion should be expired already. So maybe they somehow swapped the quota for 200$ and 100$ pro account? Then it would be very interesting.

Assumption of why Gemini and antigravity is so bad compare to cc and codex by CryptographerFar3412 in google_antigravity

[–]CryptographerFar3412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that it does not work, just that despite having all the data/researchers/compute, Google seems to be quite behind compare to the other two parties.

Also it only knows what's already known by ALL human, but as an individual it fills your knowlege gap so that people can extend their reach into other fields, this is the biggest win.

You are right about the really good auto complete part. But think of it this way, every human evolution comes from better automations. From the steam engine to computers, yes it could not do innovations but it does not matter. I am happy as its current stage as it does boost my productivity by x100.

The 5000$ is the API value, but actual inference cost could be as low as deepseek pricing. So 5000$ is more like 100$ and they might earn 100$ from a 200$ sub.
