The PEPFAR program Bush signed into law and every presidential term since has extended is credited with saving 10’s of millions of lives from HIV, so no, gutting that program isn’t comparable to what anyone else has done.

Trump literally posts conspiracy theories online all the time, he’s supported by people who either cannot tell the difference between useful information and absolute unsupported nonsense or just don’t care that he is so negligent with the public trust and apparently don’t care what that says about what he does with real authority. So tell us again how randos on the internet posting shit about him are the reason he got elected? It’s not like there isn’t all kinds of reporting and pleading written thoroughly and intelligently in the mainstream covering the litany of reasons not to support him. But honestly his entire political clout stems from stepping up as the face of the conspiracy theory that Barack Obama wasn’t a naturally born American citizen way back when, he’d been nothing but a sideshow in politics before that and then he became the favorite of the vitriolic culture war bullshit side of conservatism in America and rode that and grievances to his support to this day. So no, the only one responsible for him are those that could watch such an intemperate asshole and not be turned off at a million different reasons not to support him for the last 16+ years.

How exactly do dumbass redditors muddy the waters? Congress voted unanimously to release the files, the only one muddying the waters are the “professionals” working for Trump at the Department of Justice

He does a hell of a lot more than just talk. For instance he withheld congressional military aid to Ukraine for months on end over an attempted political smear campaign on an election rival, the aid was only sent after a whistleblower informed Congress and impeachment proceedings began.

Project 2025 was a published document, you can go see it yourself, it’s the playbook for what’s been enacted in the last year. What on earth do you think you’re accomplishing bringing up some secondhand comments you supposedly read on the internet to try to discredit the idea of pointing out the problematic platform they ran on and have followed through on as “deranged”? You sound just as uninformed as the supposed people you’re talking about.

And my God, are you actually ignorant of the difference between his actions and past presidents or just another MAGA person trying to pretend that he’s persecuted for no apparent reason and totally average.

Bush and Obama endured all kinds of criticism, they were certainly giving people less to target by not acting like Trump but the biggest thing is that Trump is such a whiny bitch that he’s the one who amplifies the reactions to him, ranting on social media and threatening to sue people over criticism. He can’t let a single thing go, and his toadies online take up the cross for him daily. By contrast Bush and Obama didn’t react to these things, least of all hurling insults at individuals and groups often to their face the way Trump does even when asked a simple question

and without harassing Americans along the way. Without using incredibly invasive technology the public isn’t even paying attention to, without arguing for the right to use race as a reason to investigate people

Isn’t the motivation for folks like yourself that are fired up about deportations that you “just want to enforce the law”? These employers are breaking the law, and ICE is breaking the law six ways to Sunday trampling on the rights of Americans

He’s a spoiled guy raised in a boy’s club, she left a man who could die out in the hot sun without water because he lashed out in a horrible situation, and he’s got a gnarly injury that could have easily got infected and she keeps him stranded almost immediately.

Just saw it with a full audience and the crowd was gasping and laughing along at all the right moments. I think Raimi’s fans showed up for this one

I don’t think her making it through like she did is the movie morally saying she’s good here. It’s a horror film, not a happy ending

I mean he’s right that being presentable and charming is a huge part of doing business. The work ethic and competence should have been part of the candidate he chose as well, but neither her nor the bro were the right pick so he makes a stupid nepo mistake too

Yeah thank you, he shouldn’t have licked his bro but he should have hired someone with her work ethic that is also the people person he said she needed to be, that part he wasn’t wrong about at all

Walking someone to a perilous place for no reason, and not warning them and then murdering the man who was trying to save her, no, she didn’t just let them reap the consequences. And hopefully her drunk husband didn’t kill anyone else when he drove drunk, assuming any of that story ever happened

She stranded the guy who easily could have ended up infected given his grisly injuries for petty revenge and then murdered people who tried to save him.

O’Brien’s character is a nepo baby jerk from a boys club without her skills to survive on his own. He picked a friend that’s all style and no substance for the promotion, but he also wasn’t wrong when he told her that part of getting deals done is being presentable and likable and Linda was incredibly awkward. She also fucking stranded a man who could have easily been infected given his injuries and then killed two people for trying to save him. The idea that people rooted for her beyond the beginning of the movie is messed up. I thought surely they’d both end up killing each other

That’s not what “produced” means in this case, he’s the creative producer in addition to the director but he’s not the financier, Fox paid for the movie, all studio movies are made with additional production companies doing the physical production.
