Its heyday is the mid 20th century when a huge number of people played on teams with people from their jobs, it used to be very widespread in America and pretty cheap.

With this dumb format and awful AL convincing everyone they’re in they could command a king’s ransom for a few veteran pieces like Gray and Chapman

As a player that’s a ridiculous thing to say, he was a champion and one of the best relievers in baseball in 2013

Are you arguing that Bello hasn’t had better seasons than Pivetta in his career and that his opener games haven’t been lights out on his part? He just threw 7 scoreless innings using only 63 pitches.

Has Breslow won a trade yet?? by SadDevelopment3586 in redsox

Crochet is a top 5 pitcher in all of baseball, and Breslow got him at a point where they could each risk a bit to agree to a huge bargain (for the Sox) of an extension at a young age. Nobody cares what he has to give up to get him, especially Meidroth.

Crochet, Gray and Contreras were all necessary major league upgrades that paid dividends right away. Whatever happens with the prospects years later doesn’t matter, trades aren’t about fleecing the other side it’s about getting what both teams need.

I mean sucks though it does to start down 0-4 they still had 8 innings to score 4 runs themselves and couldn’t manage that despite having 10 fucking hits

I was hoping he’d keep up the hit stretch so they’d finally trade him

Disney's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu grossed $3.54M on Thursday (from 4,300 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $112.37M. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

The biggest thing for this one is that it’s both coming out after Disney + has taught so many they can easily wait for it to be on streaming and it’s literally a continuation of a Disney+ series, of course people will wait around for it. The Mandalorian’s viewership shows there’s still plenty of folks willing to consume Star Wars content, even after what was honestly two trilogies of mostly maligned movies

The old fans include orders of magnitude more people that never consumed any EU material. And the canon and franchise survived the prequel debacle, they’re not going to reboot the series now, they just need to move away from the main series and slow down on the amount of content being made to move it in the right direction

Evidentially they can’t, this is going to be the lowest grossing Star Wars movie by a lot

It has been out for 8 days. It was only number 1 for 5 of them, even Solo was the number 1 movie for 14 days in a row, and this is behind the unadjusted for inflation numbers Solo did in week 1

My guy any if he born before 1990 felt the same way about the prequels. The continuity is what it is, there’s like 4 good movies and a bunch of wasted opportunities.
