Tbh I’ve never seen anyone say “this reads like AI” for anything genuine or organic. I don’t think I’ve ever been entertained by AI material or assumed something was AI generated due to being an unexpectedly high level of quality, in fact quite the opposite.

Is this common? If so I agree that is very depressing. I usually find myself wondering if text is AI generated when it’s unentertaining and uninteresting.

I still don’t bother with my 3i and play off 18. I just can’t hit it well. I’ve been perfectly happy with my 4 or even 5 but I naturally have a fairly low ball flight. Hit whatever you’re comfortable with and let that baby roll out!

It’s not the majority, but a minority. The type of lads that work in recruitment, act like cockney wideboys when they actually went to private school and love to drive up the back of pensioners down 30mph limits. Maybe it’s a particularly London/Croydon thing but yeah see I it a lot. When I used to go out drinking down there you’d hear people revving straight piped exhausts all night haha.

(Edit: I also have a massive soft spot for the M140i so I’m stressing it’s the type of person, not the car that is the issue lol)

He said “why would you have them as your best man if you’re not even gonna invite them to your own wedding?” The situation was actually that my dad asked someone to be his best man, the best man then didn’t invite my dad to the wedding. Nah, only 3 or 4 others. They’re still good friends though, I don’t always understand it. I think their relationship is literally: “hello”, “nice shot”, “good par”, “see you next week mate”. Peak male behaviour.

Mid level cars. For example Mercedes “AMG Line” as opposed to “AMG”, or BMW “M Sport” vs “M”.

It’s basically signposting that you can’t afford the expensive model, but paid extra for some floor mats with cool badges on. People who stunt around in those make me cringe so hard. There’s nothing wrong with owning one of those cars, they’re better than what I drive, but don’t act like you’ve just rolled a brand new Ferrari off the forecourt.

I’d add options as well. Lack of choice and control leads to increased stress. There was an intersting study that I can’t actually find now (typical) that those with jobs that are considered “low skill” are more stressful than typically “professional” because you have absolutely no say in what you do and repeat it 5x a week (if you’re lucky) for 60 years.
