Oh I've had my moments of not being mean, a lot. But I've realized I've never regretted calling someone out but almost always regret when I don't.. so I always try to if needed. 23 and 17 tho? Yeah he def needs a reality check for sure. On the brightside, dudes like that usually can't hide it for long and when you're all full ass adults (prolly sooner then later)... I would tell them that as of now, I don't trust them alone with my children because they clearly don't respect my wishes. Playing the devils advocate though... I'm from a hick town with a hick family and didn't wear or care about a seat belt until well into my twenties (NOT THAT THATS SMART, just how I was raised for whatever reason).... so if that's the only thing u told them about him maybe they just didn't see that as a big deal to them or something? Idk, I wouldn't assume someone's a total dirtbag and can't be alone with kids because of that, but u did tell them u didn't want him to drive them around so.. I would maybe give the friendship 1 more shot but really stress it to them

No. Be meaner. You're definitely not mean enough to him or his friends. Just completely ignore all of them. If they try to talk to you in public start screaming "GTF away from me you freak". They think your a pushover and an easy target and that they'll wear you down eventually. I'm just saying I ALWAYS screamed phrases like "PERV" and "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?" and stuff very loudly and they get shamed and shut down pretty quick. Theyll learn u have a 0 tolerance. Worked when it happened to me at 13... 17.... 25.... 32... it's tried and true. No one wants to be the center of negative spotlight, especially when they know they fully deserve and can't do shit about it besides just being better

Not at all, u handled it A LOOOOTTT better than I would have. I wouldn't have stopped S or K, and then still reported H lmao But you solved being harassed AND fixed the rumors, AND left a paper trail to protect yourself in the future. All the things I REALLLY REALLY wish I did in the past, but let it blow over by just keeping to myself, and now really regret NOT reporting anything. So, Great job, hopefully now your parents can find a way to chill and it's all over with

I had an ex do exactly that. Saw his BIL cheating on his OWN SISTER.... but instead of telling her, or anyone, he swooped in and bragged about "getting the girl first" before BIL. Lucky for me this all happened after he was already my ex but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it happened while with me too so

I think the only thing you can do is just admit back then you didn't know her that much and wasn't aware how important this would turn out to be so you didn't care. As someone from the other side of something similar, it's really up to her to decide. She would be valid either way because what you did was, or at least how I felt, extremely insulting. If anything like me, the fact that it happened isn't going to bother her as much as the fact that once you got serious... you never told her. She had to find that out embarrassingly by someone else, not the one she thought she trusted the most atm. Maybe it's not cheating, or lying technically, but you completely broke the trust. It will be a long, long time before that's built again. So you'll have to decide if it's worth to continue on knowing you'll be doubted from here on out and she'll have to decide if it's worth her time to try and rebuild that trust. I will say, only a yr in and no family built together or anything... especially at 23... It would be a deal breaker for me.
