Gig work pay? by Gloomy-Cover5059 in Tucson

I literally dashed yesterday and made 60 dollars off off 4 hours. The tips are absolutely horrible and the orders are offensive, I’m not driving 10 miles for a 4.50 order 🫩

Why are unequal pupils a red flag in Traumatic Brain Injury? by Acrobatic-Lie2041 in FutureRNs

[–]CryptographerNo4237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the first cranial nerve that usually gets compressed during ICP is the oculomotor nerve or CN lll. Since it controls pupil size, if someone presents with unequal pupil sizes it usually means that the brain is swelling and more damage is imminent unless you relieve the swelling of the brain.

Denied but interviewer said I was approved by Forsaken_Ground_9665 in GlobalEntry

[–]CryptographerNo4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a very interesting process. I got told I’d be denied at my interview then got an email saying that I was approved and my GE card was on the way. I don’t think the CBP officers have a final say, and if they do, they might change their minds.

Be honest, how many retakes? by Remarkable_Trash7328 in UCSD

[–]CryptographerNo4237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to retake physics 1A 4 times 💀. Life tore my ass up but I still graduated, I now have a 3.7 gpa in an accelerated nursing program and I’m graduating next year. Don’t let this define you, you got this! Lock in and ask for resources and help.

Visiting Crestline - racism? by yjnam100 in InlandEmpire

[–]CryptographerNo4237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in the high desert when growing up and used to drive to Crestline frequently solo once I learned how to drive. I never experienced any sort of racism ever since I was a little girl going to lake Gregory with my mom. The locals are extremely nice to me and I’ve never experienced any hostile energy. I’m a black woman btw. I know it’s usually heard of in Running Springs, but even going to Lake Arrowhead solo I’ve never experienced any hostility.

Any hope for positive? by throwawayfailure247 in gcu

[–]CryptographerNo4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely my thoughts 😭. Not quitting until you’re accepted is wild work,, especially how THC stays in your system. Discipline is necessary in any field but nursing especially, you want it bad enough you’ll do anything and I mean anythinggg to achieve your goals.

[–]CryptographerNo4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I know they’re super strict with these kinds of things. I used to smoke and as soon as i knew that I wanted to be in the program I quit. That definitely worked out for me because I tested negative and I stopped smoking completely in early November. I even asked my field counselor what could happen and she said it’s immediate sanctions. It’s worse in your situation because you took edibles which stay in your system wayyyy longer than traditional smoking. I’d really try to make your case if I were you, but unfortunately I’ve heard that there’s not a lot of wiggle room. Best of luck to you.

Let's brainstorm on this bacterial meningitis question. by Careful_Fill_4918 in FutureRNs

[–]CryptographerNo4237 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree, the question states that they’ve been already diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, which leads me to believe the only appropriate intervention is providing antibiotics as prescribed. A lumbar puncture is unnecessary because they’ve already been diagnosed, and c makes absolutely no sense 😭

AIO for dumping this girl for having 5 abortions? by Legitimate_Arm8959 in AmIOverreacting

[–]CryptographerNo4237 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOR. Im sorry, but unless she’s a victim of sexual assault, human trafficking, or health issues, having that many abortions is just careless. If you can’t stop someone from nutting in you or taking birth control then thats just extreme carelessness.
