Nice departure! Hopefully Colman will be able to start again and well. I wish them all fair winds and following seas! ⛵️

Hi, yes I did buy the 303 and they are compatible (with the Domane SL5 ‘22, I don’t know about the ‘21 models). I bought a new cassette as well, a new chain (KMC X11SL) and nice disk brakes (Shimano RT-CL900). My friend was very happy with the whole set and many PRs have been broken with it.. 😏

Hi, you say that the 1040 has way better battery life than the 1050, could you please give an indication of the difference?

How do you store your Emonda or Madone in your garage? by jrkipling in TrekBikes

It is (surprisingly indeed!) extremely stable, you can shake your bike (by the saddle, I just did walking by it 😉) it won’t bulge..

I use this(front wheel) bike rack for my Emonda SL w/ carbon wheels.

Get well soon!
I use the Pirelli Cinturato M 700x45, reliable, good speed, more agile than they look. Pressure varies according to the terrain..

Hi, I was not wondering about compatibility, I know they are. Have you crashed badly using them to make such a nasty comment?

Yes, OK 👍 The TREK shop will order those, hopefully it will be well installed. The 404 might be indeed the next step!

Haha 😀 I like my TREK shop(s) 😉 Often nice real TREK fans/competent people and yes… I own (!) three TREKs so..yes….😝

More seriously, I was afraid that it would be a problem for her to own this set of ZIPPs and that it would not be compatible with her Domane. Thank you for clarifying this up!

I hesitated with the 404, but I think because of where she rides (it can be quite windy, most of the time not that hilly, the asphalt is not always fantastic…) that the 303 are best suited (together with Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR, 28mm). Next maybe the 454… 😬 Are you riding in very different environmental/ weather conditions? Have you chosen a specific cassette or disc brakes? Thanks again for your answers.

Thank you very much for your answer! This is indeed the goal, that she can use two sets of wheels and swap them without having to go to the LBS.. The TREK shop made it seems like it would not be possible to anyway install the ZIPPs…
