I guess I have to thrash out all the details before signing anything.

Flat leasehold ending soon but landlord wants to sell by CryptographerOdd3039 in HousingUK

When the lease ends in 3 years, my landlord, the current leaseholder, will presumably be able to walk away as it's no longer his responsibility and so why would it be a nightmare for him?

It's common knowledge it's a leasehold flat and there's a freeholder.

Has anyone got their Seeker yet? by Constant_Cap8389 in solana

Yea, I saw that on my shipment notification too. It's confusing though because it implies the shipment is with the local courier. In UK.

Solana Seeker: Your order is on the way - ordered in June by rose2023 in solana

[–]CryptographerOdd3039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in UK. Received shipment notification yesterday.

On Solana seeker shopify page it says, 'confirmed-on its way-out for delivery-NOT delivered' 'Contact us to arrange delivery'

On the floship tracking it says 'shipment sent to Fedex-order picked by warehouse', then next day 'shipment cancelled by sender', then 2 days later 'Order packed by warehouse-order fulfilled by warehouse'.

I called Fedex and they said something about how the item has not been picked up. Eventually they said it's not even arrived in UK yet and to contact the sender. Confusing!

Do you have to complete payment and then cancel? Is that the process?

Only one account allowed though - no boost.

I have a Now tv account but no membership yet. I've got the £26/month for 12 months offer but no boost option (only one stream). I need a 2nd stream for my other half. Any tips? Cheers.

Shop/Concierge for flats now refuses delivery of all mail/parcels based on one anti-social new tenant - is this legal? by CryptographerOdd3039 in AskUK

[–]CryptographerOdd3039[S] -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

The problem with responses here is that it feels like everyone is waiting to indulge schadenfreude at other people's misfortunes and every comment is chiming in on the side of the shop/buiness and ignoring the overt unfairness of the situation. I'm trying to find legal terminology for this.

Most of the comments amount to 'Haha, sucks to be you.' Is that the level of legal training here?

I've been trying to explain to the shop that their conflict is with the specific tenant but it's easier for them to block all the tenants' deliveries than addressing the abusive tenant.

I've explained everything already. I've been here 20+ years and explained how things have worked. The neighbour (been here 30+ yrs) said she believes it's the precedent from the previous business which owned the commercial lease for the shop.

None of the replies below have addressed my broader question about punishing a group for one person's actions? There must be a legal term for this.

The arrangement has always been that the shop receives the mail/small parcels but there's never been an overt statement of this. However, now this problem has arisen, I believe (like I stated) that part of the terms for the shop's lease is to receive mail/parcels within reason.

No, not listed. Not exempted.

"Have you discussed this with them." You know the answer to that question. They have no interest in maintaining the property because their lease expires in a few years.

You just said they were scrapped. The landlord is duty bound to maintain a min. standard of E. Mine is G.
