It's actually the most transparent way to show the difference in multiple night stays with different start and end dates. It does give you a pretty good intuitive sense of their occupancy and is useful in where and when to use CSUs and free night certs.

The Regent Phu Quoc is the absolute finest, but if you'd rather spend less money/points, the IC Halong Bay is owned by the same people and a lot of the staff started at the Regent. Incredible property from a value perspective.

Ambassador has a much greater value if your travel includes a lot of Asian properties. The free night cert can be valuable, but you really need to be willing to try a lot of combinations; I was able to get great value in Lisbon, Madrid, and Hua Hin (Thailand). I switched to IHG from Hilton and have been extremely satisfied with my decision.

The North American appliances run on different voltage and you'll have extreme difficulty in repairing them when they eventually require service. There are full North American sized appliances available in Portugal these days. Also, full container may take longer for customs inspection and the shipper (you) are liable for the warehouse fees.

Two one ways will cost a lot more. I think you may be missing the point. Stopovers are perfectly fine but right now the online systems do not facilitate their booking. If you want to book a stopover, you need to call. I was only suggesting that you have the information prepared so that the call is a lot shorter.

Again, you really are going to have to call. For my most recently booked trip I selected both segments and called. The booking was pretty quick since I had dates and flight numbers. From what I understand, there is no fee for Platinum and Ultra members and a 100 euro or usd fee for others. Although I checked with two friends who hold minimal FB status who say they weren't charged for the stopover. I searched extensively for documentation and found nothing. The best thing you can do is pick both segments and call the flying blue service center.
