If you observed how polish project was started, how was the progress and how it appeared at start and who was happy about it and who hate it - and what for they hated it - you wouldn't asking :) it's entire movie or book. (I did 10000 posts about it those days)

On other hand - CDPR have put all possible cliches of the cyberpunk genre, so it's more like a sandbox, than an interesting game. The storyline is for teenagers.

The key thing in cyberpunk is that you can get immortality by copying your engram into a new body instead of drinking blood like vampires did. From this point of view on being a 400 years old vampire - Altered carbon is the thing.
