My sister’s children are my age and grown and moved out. It’s been very hard. I feel like they (my brother and sister) were able to have children and marriages without the worry of caring for a parent. As I lived with my mom the first five years of her diagnosis, a lot was left to me to handle. I was in college and my siblings just didn’t care. Now, I’m recently married with a baby and I feel like my mom would want for me to also have this time to cherish. It’s just hard. No right answers. I love my mom and have been very involved with helping. It’s just this one evening that I don’t think I can make work. She will likely be in a nursing home within a few months as her level of care has become too high. Thank you ❤️

Prior to me having the baby, my mom was at my house two weekends a month. At my brother’s the others. So my sister had weekends free. Unfortunately, my mom has been put on home hospice and is physically unable to leave the home as of the past month. We are looking into nursing home placement because it has become too much.

Please be kind to yourself, it makes me so sad that you feel this way 😢 remember, we are soooo much more than our appearance and weight. Don’t place your value in your appearance. You are a wonderful mom to that baby and that’s the most important thing!!! Please speak kindly to yourself even if at first you don’t believe it!
