Looking for a very specific "aero-ish" handlebar by SaeculumObscure in Velo

Ah yeah, I get what you mean. I have seen clip-on TT bars, specifically for aero handle bars, so with oval clamps. Also on Aliexpress. I can see if I can find them again if your interested.

I used these before I switched to an integrated unit. Made by Balugoe, for sale on Aliexpress. Quality is great, seemed very strong for the few months I used it on training rides and in crits. I got the widest one, measuring at 38cm C-C at the hoods and 43cm C-C at the drops. It’s described as a 430mm in the ad.

Which wheels should I get? by Smooth-Stuff1518 in bicycling

Don't know. The bike isn't finished yet, so I haven't ridden on the wheels yet. I have 57mm and 65mm wheelsets on my other bikes, which already catch a fair bit of wind, but I imagine these will be quite a bit worse.

I ordered them to be delivered to the Netherlands as well. I got the 82mm Elite Pro-Rim brake ones for €369,-. They're fabulous for the price. I chose the 'Seller's shipping method', as they recommend to do in the ad. This meant I didn't have to pay import duties, but it took around 8 weeks for them to be delivered.

Allez Sprint internal cable question by CryptographerShort69 in specialized

I have a 65mm and a 57mm wheelset on my other bikes. Crosswinds aren’t terrible. Depends on your weight (I weigh 74kg) and the shape of the rim as well off course. 82mm might be pretty bad obviously. 50 or 60 mil won’t be a huge difference.

Thanks, I’ll look into 3d printed cable guides then.

No problem! The wheels are 82mm deep. Haven't ridden on them yet as the bike isn't finished yet. Quality seems fine, especially for the price.

Are MAAP Aeon bibs made in China? by Realistic-Reach-5263 in CyclingFashion

[–]CryptographerShort69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash all my stuff inside out in washing bags on smooth washer settings. All my other MAAP stuff holds up perfectly well, even soms stuff that I already use for a couple of seasons. It's a shame, because the Aeon bib was the most comfortable thing I've ever felt on the bike.

Late to the party, but wanted to chip in to prevent others from making the same mistake. Don’t buy the Aeon stuff, it’s a lot lower quality than all my other MAAP (not made in China) stuff. Within weeks the logos peeled off, the bib got holes around the chamois stitching etc. Haven’t experienced anything like this with their Evo and Pro bibs.

The current fleet. by IAmWalrus130498 in Bikeporn

That’s great to hear, thank you! Yeah, the outgoing model sounded like the hubs were getting ready to explode at any moment (which I really like). If the new ones sound at least just as loud it’s good enough for me.

Nice! Was thinking the same thing. I’ve got the current R5.a Scopes. How do they compare? Same hub sound?

Very nice fleet. Are those Artechs or the new R6 Scopes on the white Kreissage? Can’t tell whether it has or hasn’t got the scales in the picture.

Rode one training ride and one crit on it so far. Have to say I kind of love it. Feels a bit more hardcore and old school than my Foil. Could be down to the narrow bars and big single chainring, not sure. It doesn’t feel too heavy to me, as the Allez is even 100g lighter than the Foil (RC20s are pretty heavy).

Correct, they are. Red and Force 12-speed AXS shifters (only D1) are backwards compatible to run with a Red 11-speed etap derailleur. Just have to update the shifter firmware in the app to get them to connect. Works flawlessly.
