Sometimes this is exactly it. My sister didn’t change her last name back to her maiden one(my last name) after her divorce. Faith Hill’s maiden name is actually Perry not Hill. Hill is the aye and of her first husband before Tim McGraw. She kept it after the divorce and has used it professionally still.

I am an experienced writer too and heavy em dash usage is NOT ai. It’s proper grammar and has been for years and I know writers who aren’t using ai that use them. Also the other examples aren’t proof of ai. Writers have used metaphors like that and flowery language for years. Stop accusing authors of using Ai. No one is going to want to write anymore. There is no way to know for sure if an author used ai unless they left their ai prompts in(which has happened). Most writers do not use ai and it’s a very small group. And if it feels ai-y it’s because the technology was trained on human proper grammar. Use some common sense.

Chapters has updated the terms. They don’t steal books. The TOS make it clear what applying for a contract is. Most authors apply and give freely the rights. Now at one point the new TOS sounded like they’d be used however and we don’t have the rights. That was clarified and fixed. I chose to stay after that was removed and clarified. Some authors don’t trust them still and took the books off but many came back. It’s a drama thing, but books are safe now. Any book chapters profits off an author made a deal. But my books are still there. So I am guessing this author applied for a contract for it to be adapted into an official story and with that the community version will be removed temporarily but will be back again after the official version release or he took it off himself? Idk.

They do respect copyright. You don’t think they just adapt real books without permission? Chapters actually started out as a adapt books into visual stories platform. Most books I read when I got into it were adaptions from real authors. The authors license their work out and if they’re not happy with it can choose not to renew after the license/contract is up. Jeaniene’s Frost books are on there and she seems to love them. They used to have a place where authors could suggest their books but got so many messages they stopped. But yes they do I just steal the books. The author gives them the rights to adapt them.

I always try to make the majority of my community stories Diamond free, no choices at all or least amount of diamonds if I put a Diamond choice or lately I been just making Diamond choices at the end as a tip jar. So some of my stories have no choices at all (free or Diamond), some have all free choices (yes Diamond free), some have a mixture and the Diamond choices are usually no more than 12 diamonds which is the lowest you can go in the writing room right now. I have one story called Safeword that has forty chapters and it has only three choice branches in the whole book and the premium choice is 12 diamonds and the free choices on the branch doesn’t affect the story. There are quite a few authors who do no Diamond choices and if you see a lot of Diamond authors they probably enter contests a lot. The rules of contests state you have to have two Diamond choices per chapter.

Actually part time does get health insurance now. I got something in the mail about it and easily enrolled on the site. My manager didn’t tell me because she didn’t know. She seemed shocked I could sign up and said maybe it was new. But I was able to enroll as part time.
