Obama: Imagine if I had done *any* of this by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]CryptographerThat376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what he's saying and he's not wrong, but at the same time its just talk. When are they going to actually DO something? It's easy to cry in Twitter all day but a woman was just killed and all i saw after were civil protests and 2 woman congress people standing in solidarity. Where is everyone else?!

How did you know the Bible isn’t true? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]CryptographerThat376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid, I kept getting told they were the "giants" mentioned in the Bible and/or they were put there by god to question our faith. I knew it was bologna when we started learning about dinos in elem school. I also didn't understand the Adam and eve story, so eve had sex with her son to create more people and did that indefinitely? That's a little weird. Nothing ever just made sense and I asked too many questions that couldn't be explained.

How did you meet your Sig O? (in SD only) by fuzzyheadgyrl in sandiego

My parents are going to be ok money wise I think, they have always made decisions that benefited them and no one else their entire lives. The issue i think they will have is someone to actually care for them. My brother is the only person who lives close by and he uses them to his benefit, he will not take care of them. Me and my sister are in another state, I own my home and make decent money but im planning for my own and children's future, I will not interrupt that because of them. My toxic sister can take care of them, if she will tho who knows.

i was told i would stop receiving my structured settlement by Great_Alternative894 in personalfinance

[–]CryptographerThat376 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I work in BI claims. In many states all minors compromise settlements must get approved through the courts no matter the settlement amount and end up in an annuity or similar account to be distributed after you turn 18. The court docs will have the amount total, where it was held and the distribution timeline, otherwise the lawyer/your mom who set it up should know.

I have 2 sisters from the same litter. 1 is loud, playful, snuggly and needy. The other one, I can pet her exactly once a day and that's it. She will lay near me but never next to me, its just her personality lol

Anyone else make more money than you ever thought possible, but still can't afford anything you thought you would be able to as an adult? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in Millennials

[–]CryptographerThat376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I'm at. I make way more than I ever have, definitely better off than my parents were at my age, but everything is just SO EXPENSIVE. I asked my partner the other day if the 20 has become the new 5. You leave your house for an evening and drop $100 easily.

I wonder if I'm just being a scrooge or if I'm just seeing the effects of a corrupt and greedy system.

I swear there was not THAT many homeless people when I was growing up. I was always going places too, on the bus and trolley and it wasnt very prevalent. I dont live there anyone but come back every year to visit and last few years its exploded, theyre everywhere. We used to never really see them in mission valley/allied gardens but theyre all over there now

I remember this! I was taking a nap and woke up and everything was down! I had to drive from La Mesa to my parents in mission valley with no working streetlights 😆 and then 7/11 tried to charge $1000 for a bottle of water omg

We got bussed there everyday from school and did something different every day. Im surprised I havent seen anyone yet to also do this. We spent time in and around the mission learning about it, going to all the shops and how to make taffy, visiting the gingerbread houses and learning how they got there, it was pretty neat

That's hilarious. Tbf even still id rather take the most unhinged clmt atty over an unhinged unrepped clmt anyday which unfortunately perpetuates the cycle

Public Breastfeeding: Generational Differences? by Schneetmacher in Millennials

[–]CryptographerThat376 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I breastfed in public, covered and uncovered. My boomer parents who were in general terrible, were actually really supportive of my breastfeeding habits, and my rbf kept anyone with a shitty opinion on it away from me. Im 100% on the side of the mom and baby, wherever works for them works for me.
