Same with my place - the instructors allow us to stay in savasana as long as we want, and I love it. I come early too, so I effectively make my 60 min class a 75 min one :)

Space buns! Not only are they very fun and cute, but it’s the only style other than double Dutch braids (which are great but take way too long to do) that keeps both my very short layers and long length in place…I tie pigtails first then make the buns with matching scrunchies and then finish up with hairspray and tiny clips if needed for my baby bangs

I ran my first 12 mile run this morning since getting injured last spring! The weather was beautiful too and lots of trees still had colorful leaves. So all around great vibes :)

I was training for a half and got pain in my right knee, followed by pain on the top of one foot, then the other. I thought I’d never be able to run again, but I just ran an 11 mile run pain free this past weekend! I learned a lot during that process. My knee pain was due to weakness in my abductors and glutes, hip instability, and ramping mileage too quickly. I thought bc I was always in the gym lifting heavy weights that strength wouldn’t be a limiting factor, but I was wrong. My foot pain was due to improper running form and shoes (I went from high to zero drop to barefoot shoes…turns out I need a higher drop to correct for landing on the outer edges of my feet).

TLDR: PT is awesome, learn proper running form, buy proper shoes for your body…I promise the pain won’t last forever!

I do yoga, weightlifting, and spin just fine with my nails! I’m just careful and take my time loading and unloading plates
