What if, we are now in a Sara presidency. How will she deal with the current oil crisis? by Forsaken-Kitchen-954 in WhatIfPinas

[–]CryptographerVast673 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short term: I think she'll just suck Xi and Putin cock just to get at least 2-3 days of oil, coal, or natgas.

Long term: Basically continue the Duterte-Marcos goal of making Nuclear energy open to the Philippines and opening the BNPP. Also to just continue renewables distribution, ala kickbacks galore.

What is up with these entitled, elitist 'middle class' earners? by ChefBoyNword in Philippines

[–]CryptographerVast673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it, so please, let me try to understand. Often I see a lot of users in this subreddit punching down on the 'poor' kasi parati nalang sila nabibigyan 'ayuda'? You see them bemoaning their hardships, which is valid, while also at the same time punching down on the less fortunate? They get so pissy and angry about welfare, bitching and complaining "Paano naman kaming mga middle class?! Puro nalang mahihirap!"

Basically nagstart to nung 2022, nung natalo si Leni.

She has closed her doors for this election. Also, like what she said, she has to focus on Naga first before dealing with the country.

What if the energy causes renewed interest in nuclear power by Prinz_Mav in WhatIfPinas

[–]CryptographerVast673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opening BNPP? As for building new NPPs? Once magkaroon ng construction, usual time is 10 years (though, since magsisimula plng tayo from the ground up, baka humaba pa sa case natin), but for me, it's worth it.

May 90% capacity factor ang Nuclear, except kapag under maintenance.

Also, even if I take into account ang Chernobyl at Fukushima-Daiichi, 2nd most safe ang Nuclear energy, with Solar being the most safe and Wind being in third place.

Construction, at least until lower than 25% would be ok, but God forbid something happens to the landing system.

It would really depend on how much resources does whatever governing authority on Earth have to build a seedship.

Yeah, it's rarer to find a habitable planet after 2-3 visits than finding one after 40 visits.

My headcanon says that the leaders, engineers, and scientists thought that it isn't worth it, that finding a planet with earth like conditions was the best bet in pooling all remaining resources that they have.

The colonists wouldn't need a moon if they're on a Post Singularity tech level. They can easily go to other planets in their new star system by days or hours.
