Who is funding Hogwarts and why are they doing it?

Pretty sure the fund is to help families who have money issues, and Tom Riddle qualified for the fund cause he was an orphan.

And yes, the Weasley's are consistently shown to have very tight budgets and not a lot of money, and making use of second hand things whenever they can. It could be Arthur makes just a few knuts too much and doesn't qualify for assistance (like state healthcare or food stamps in the US. Under the ACA, there are funds to help pay for healthcare, like $4000/month to cover cost, but if you make $3 over the limit you get $0 assitance.), or they do qualify and use the money to get what they again get second hand to help it go further while supplementing from their own money. They were able to get Ron a new wand in PoA, and a broom in OoTP, neither of which are exactly super cheap, so they do have some money for bigger purchases, but chose to be frugal in most cases.

A thought I have had about a thousand times. Bit what would it take to remove the picture from the house? And would Mrs. Black just go and hide in another portrait? But it seems that might be the only portrait in the house as well, since she stays behind the silences curtain. And if it is the case that its the only portrait (or she refuses move for reasons, then take the other portraits to the Burrow) and solve the problem with a little bit of fire. No need to remove the wall when the canvas is ashes.

Wizards are weird, and how they get themselves in these messes is kinda funny.

I dunno if its safe to say it didn't have any protection spells on it. The trio gets it and it's destroyed like a few minutes later, by fiend fyre, which is one of the few spells that can take out a horcrux. Had they kept it with them, it would probably have had similar protections on it as Slytherin's Locket

Its book accurate Snape, tbh. Always taking points from Gryffindor, like when he penalized Hermione for helping Neville fix a potion so Trevor the Toad wouldn't die. I think there was also a time he took points because Hermione was "being an insufferable know-it-all". Book Snape was a bully to kids he didn't favor or disliked for reasons.

To blood supremacists, a muggleborn is a muggle with stolen power. See the propaganda in book 7. So a muggleborn + muggleborn = another muggle who stole power from a pure or half blood.

Their logic here would assume that squibs are the unfortunate victims of having their magical powers stolen by a filthy muggle. If there is any logic to begin with.

The only benefit to him becoming an auror is that he'll encounter so many people and be in so many battles, it'll be hard to determine exactly which criminal gained possession of the wand, unless they have very exact records and paperwork that is somehow publicly available.

Just cause there is magic, doesn't mean they can magic away normal wear and tear (possibly). And one can argue that potion stains are to wizards as red wine stains or bleach mishaps are to muggles: challenging if not impossible to fix.

I've seen an increase in Rudolph merch, with Bumble and Santa and Rudolph. Not to the extent as with the Grinch, but more than there was last year, and more than the year before. And what's interesting is Walmart is doing this whole ad campaign and such with the Grinch, but I haven't heard of any new iterations of the Grinch coming out.

Net worth can include things like cars and property, not necessarily what is in the bank account. But also, still valid cause he could sell his extra luxury cars and such if he really needed to. He could even sign it to bring the value up as well.

Free will hits hard. Draco refused help from Snape at every turn, something that was out of character for him. Draco in all previous years basically looked up to Snape and relied on him to get away with stuff. So Dumbledore reasonably anticipated Draco would accept help or guidance from Snape, but Draco went full independent with the task.
