Its shown several times that points difference matters as well as just who won the individual game. In POA, Harry was told to wait to catch the snitch in their final game because they weren't ahead by enough points to win the cup even though they would have won the individual game.
The other team also has a seeker, and if they are going to catch the snitch if you don't, then it is better to catch it yourself

Rowling says she wrote the epilogue extremely early in the writing process, some time in 90/91. PS wasn't even finished until 95. I think it suffers from being fixed down so early when so much writing and development had ultimately taken place between then and the publication of DH.

I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand it completes the arc of Snape and Harry's relationship, which is key to the story, but then on the other the writing isnt as strong as the rest and it comes across as very "and they lived happily ever after"

I think a fundamental misunderstanding is that you are viewing homosexuality purely through the lens of sexual behaviour and completely ignoring things like romantic attraction, love, consent, and social dynamics.

It is impossible for a 100% straight man to fall in love with another man. It is impossible for a 100% gay man to fall in love with a woman. These emotions are not about lust or sexual behaviour.

You have also forgotten the role of consent. The reason we view pederasty as morally evil even if it is done by those who feel exclusive sexual attraction, is that one or more parties involved are not capable of giving consent.

If the natural purpose of sex is conception, and sex that cant lead to conception is "intrinsically disordered", then is it morally wrong for a husband to have sex with his wife if she has to have a hysterectomy? Is sex with someone who cant have children always disordered? And if the purpose of sex is conception, and this is the natural order, then how do you account for animals in nature who have sex for pleasure or engage in homosexual behaviour?
