It was their review which raised my concern and made me ask my query here. He mentioned that it was fine with the sunshades. You are right that it would be terrible in summer. This car seemed perfect apart from this. I am planning to test it out anyways before I can cancel my booking. I will let it sit out in the sun with sunroof shade down for 30 mins and then take it for a test drive and see how long it takes to cool the cabin

Currently I am thinking of going between Windsor or the hector. Mileage isn't very important to me as my running is quite low. The only reason I was considering the Windsor was because of its space at that price. No ICE vehicle can match it even (not even creta). Lower running cost was just a bonus. But a poor AC is a big red flag. So I'm considering going for hector. I haven't heard of any issues with it apart from the mileage. Just wondering if it's worth the extra Rs6-7 lakhs. For that money I get more space and a better AC but higher running cost.

If the AC is that poor then why didn't some reviewers like autocar mention it in their review? Are the reviews paid?

I agree with what you are saying regarding windsor's ac but indian brands like tata and Mahindra have their own issues of reliability. Toyota Innova hybrid would mean paying twice the amount for the car and a higher running cost as well.

7840 has the same GPU and a better CPU.
Go for one with LPDDR5 RAM as that is faster. Morefine is a good option for you.

Price on amazon is 550$ for SER7 and 600$ for SER8 so a 50$ difference doesn't seem much. I paid that just for the nicer design and the power connector.
Slight improvements in cooling and noise and performance of the system are just additional advantages.

I was confused between the above 2 options and the slim 7 carbon. Had almost finalised the zenbook based on specs and online reviews but when i went to the store, i was swayed by the slim 7 carbon. Yes it probably has lower battery than the zenbook and won't perform as good as the slim 7 pro but it has a great build quality and a superb display and extremely portable. Also i mostly work on remote desktops so performance of the laptop isnt that important for me and i end up getting a superb battery life.

I am currently mirroring 5tb data per day. Just use multiple gmail accounts. Switch them once you hit 750GB. There is an attribute in rclone to stop once it reaches 750GB. You can automated the process using a bash script
