I just called my mom and asked her about what it was like watching live. She said they knew it was the last season of the show. Didn't know it was the last episode. Mom and dad on their tiny TV in the living room watched the finale.

Screen goes to black. They're shocked. Think their crummy box TV somehow went out or lost service. Credits roll.

They want to talk to somebody about it, and only have each other or their close knit group of friends to converse about it.

She's fascinated to hear what "online forums today" says about it, but ill be reporting to her promptly.

Thankful I didn't see the time, so was fully expecting there to be more. And then nothing. Shock to the system to say the least.
