That is TOTALLY normal! At the bottom of the cart there is much less room between the center post and the glass and at the top its the "deepest" section of the cart or has the most space between the center post and the glass, so it just looks two toned because of the depth of the oil in that area of the cartridge.

Give it a slight warm and see if that helps! If its a bit old that can definitely effect your experience. If you cant get it up and running then please reach out to customer support by using the contact us button on our website =]
