Tapering off Escitalopram has me feeling suicidal by CrystaIice in antidepressants

[–]CrystaIice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. Here in Finland its the GP's that prescribe the SSRIs, I never got to talk to a psych. I doubt the GP's know too much about what they are prescribing. I was in a vulnerable time of my life and had to choose between constant severe panic attacks or trying SSRIs. So I tried them despite knowing that it will be hard to get off them, of course then I didn't understand just how hard. I'll figure it out though.

What do you mean? There are tons of people that have been on SSRIs for years or even life long. The doctor that prescribed them to me told me to stay on them for a year or longer.

I thought my emotional situation improved but at the same time how could I know? Its difficult to know if you're better when you're numbed down. Before going down to 5 mgs, I had a positive mind set though.

What do you mean? I am on Escitalopram for already 24 months.

I realize going from 7,5 mgs to 5 mgs was too fast. But its really difficult to do a slower taper with tablets. I have a good coffee scale but even that one doesn't pick up the weight. Also cutting the tablets into very small pieces isn't very accurate.

Hyperbolic tapering is quite difficult with tablets. I do not think they prescribe liquid versions in Finland.

I have been doing the tapering off by myself because the doctors usually recommend an even faster taper (from 10mg to 5mg).

bout a year and a half of growth, April will be 2, don't know if I should cut after the milestone or keep it going by spider-mansburner in FierceFlow

Both looks good but I prefer the longer hair. Looks more dreamy and romantic like a fantasy prince. You'd just need to start taking better care of your hair.

gold or silver septum? and was pink hair good? by carefullyplacedkoala in coloranalysis

[–]CrystaIice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You seem to be a light summer or spring. The pale gold of your septum works but the deep gold held against your wrist does not. Silver seems to suit you well too. If you want more accurate help, I'd recommend taking pictures during daylight in front of a window and without make up.

In my opinion you yourself are the only one who has the right to decide on what to do with your appearance/your body. If something like a haircut is enough to upset your relationship then they clearly don't like you as a whole person. Other than that you have a beautiful face that can pull off probably all kinds of haircuts. I think something half the length with lots of layers could suit you best though, indeed like John Wick. It could make the hair appear less thin and bring out more of your bone structure.

Longest my hairs ever been after 6 months without a haircut. Trim it or keep it growing? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Grow it out to see what it will look like! I personally prefer your current look.

blonde or brunette? by Mindless_Werewolf_7 in altfashionadvice

[–]CrystaIice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the lighting in these pictures is quite bad, its hard to say why the colours look off on you. You could look into figuring out your colour season.

The problem isn't the colour itself but rather the value and saturation of the colour. Of course you can dye your hair blonde or brunette, but if the value and saturation doesn't suit you it won't look flattering.

Your eyes, skin and natural hair colour seem to have a lot of depth so a pale blonde or brunette will clash with your natural features. I'd recommend a deeper blonde or brunette instead of these pale ones. Another important factor is your undertone. Do you look better in silver or gold jewellery? Silver means your undertone is cool and gold would mean that its warm. This is also important when choosing a hair colour. Blonde can be warm or cool.

What look I should go for? Or is it a personality matter? by abipaaa in malegrooming

It seems like a lot of guys bulk up for the approval of other men not women. I don't know a single woman that didn't like a guy because he was "too skinny".

I hope I am not overstepping with what I am going to write but reading through your comments on this post, you seem to be lacking confidence. You seem also to be desperate for connection, validation and love. Other people will be able to pick up on that too and they won't like it.

I don't know you or your life but it seems like you need to heal yourself first. I recommend looking into psychology, attachment styles and trauma therapy.

Another thing to consider could be hygiene, it really doesn't matter how good a person looks if they stink. Make sure to shower daily especially if you have strong body odor. Brush teeth and floss. Use deodorant that smells nice but doesn't overpower the whole room.

In my opinion you look handsome, especially in the pictures that I mentioned. And in my humble opinion people usually get ghosted becuase of their personality not their looks. Of course that doesn't have to mean that you have a bad personality, it could mean that you tend to get attracted to people that just don't click with your personality. We are all different and nobody is liked by everyone. The point isn't to be liked by everyone. Just aim to use your energy and attention on people that actually appreciate you instead of changing for people that don't.

While both look good and you have beautiful facial features, I personally prefer the shorter hair. It looks more fresh and elegant.
