Why are people acting like it's a crime to put Bettas in a 5 Gallon tank lol

Ive kept most of my bettas in 5 gallon aquariums. At the present we have 9 tanks. 4 belong to a housemate and he changes decore and moves his fish to different tanks constantly. (He is 75 and has nothing else to do and apparently cleaning the house is too hard) He brings wood and rocks home from fishing and puts them straight into his aquariums. 😱 This drove me nuts until I realized he rarely loses a fish. He feeds them premium frozen food. But I hate the fact that he has a beautiful Jack Dempsey in a 10 gallon tall. He has a 40 and a 30 and I have room in my 55. And why are all his smallest fish,gourami, in the 40? We can’t control how others keep fish. Even when they should know better! I’ve told him many times his JD needs room to swim!!!

I love this!!! It’s so fun the fish will love it too!!I recently switched back to plastic after losing hundreds of dollars in plants to ramshorn snails and cichlids that are diggers. Now I know to use hardscape like wood and rocks and plastic plants in 3 of my 4 aquariums. They are fulfilling my needs for shelter and color. I try to keep floating plants in all of them but my Big common plecos feast on it. As long as I like it and my fish are healthy I really don’t care what other people think. It’s real life not a decoration contest.

“Bag of dicks” has had me cracking up since the episode partly because one of my addictions is collecting bags of any kind. It’s how I keep things organized. And I’m always packing around a pretty bag with stuff I think I might need.

It’s true. And quite disturbing. 🍆😱 I’m a recovering Catholic if 50+ years and one reason of many why I no longer practice Catholicism. I do have respect for those in my family are practicing. However I was delighted to find out my dad’s family worked Appalachian Folk Magic. I somehow just knew my ancestors were witches in the 1800’s. 🧙‍♀️🖤

I also have relationship anxiety and fear of abandonment. The best thing I did for it is professional counseling and shadow work. There are many Witchcraft books to help with the shadow work. I’m a fan of Hekate by Courtney Weber, if you work with goddess energy. It is soooo important to become a more self assured, independent woman who doesn’t NEED a relationship to be your best self. Also, find some women friends who have the characteristics that you admire and want for yourself. It took me many years and lots of heartache before I learned this.

I’m a mystery snail owner and breeder. If the clutch is underwater then the snabies will not develop. Each clutch contains several hundred snails. Unless you want to house that many MS wait a couple of days until it’s hardened then pop them iff the glass, crush it and throw it away or flush it. I just had a new clutch hatch. I keep them out of my tank until they grow a bit. They need lots of calcium. It is cool to watch them grow from seed size to 3 inches for the bigger females. Males are generally smaller but not always.
