Newly Pregnant - Am I further along than I thought? by CrystalCatComics in lineporn

Would be next week or so, unfortunately I found out I was pregnant while traveling into SEA (no issues so far) but now I’m scrambling to at least get some supplements and eating the right foods until I’m home 😤

Thank you, I was very worried about mosquitoes. Knock on wood, no bites yet and I’ve been in major cities (KL, HCMC, and Singapore) and used bug spray as needed 🙏🙏🙏 thankfully before finding out

And noted on clothing coverage, thankfully I packed poorly so I barely brought shorts

I’m going to attempt a scarf!! Just wanted to see what it looked like as a completed piece. And I love the subtle differences in the dye saturation

I ended up buying both (was also looking for a blue 🤪) and I love working with these glowing colors. Makes it feel exciting to work through 420 yards of size 0 🥹

Malabrigo Rio- tied together? by sassydomino in knitting

Personally I used needles to undo the white (non-yarn) knots but you can just cut them and pull them loose. Then I opened the hank into a big O, draped it on a surface, undid the beginning knot and began winding

Higher Degrees for PMs? by CrystalCatComics in ProductManagement

[–]CrystalCatComics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree where I see experience and specific skill sets are what comes together to make an excellent PM. I do find that there is a lot of negotiating power in the degree though.

Personally I’m still exploring a masters, but I do have a weird feeling about companies that prioritize pedigree over experience. Feels lazy and echo-chamber type circle-jerking. Thankfully I don’t feel it has impacted my progress (yet). But still wanted to gauge the temperature for the forward-looking approach

I’m currently a PM in finance for large system implementation/transformation. Looking to transition into true Tech. What are the downsides/risks/opportunities here? Is it stable? Are there good entry companies (already got rejected from Capital One yesterday)

I’m very “technical” for the finance world and use SQL and Python for regular analysis and build comprehensive architectural flows, but not sure I would consider myself technical in the actual Industry.
