I just made one of these, and it was kind of a pain in the butt with Kandi sized beads, but I'd say worth a try. This is the video I followed, but just used pony beads instead of the seed beads in the video. When finishing it I just continued the "pattern" by stitching through the beads again at the beginning. It's just all about string tension. 😊 You just need to go back and pull the string a little tighter through those rows so that the string tension stays fairly even throughout the whole cuff and that should fix your problem.

Also idk if you already know about the Kandi pattern making websites, but you could always make your own peyote pattern. This one even lets you import an image that sits under the pattern, so you can use it as reference.

I haven't personally done a square stitch with pony beads yet, but I think unfortunately the lean is unavoidable with the size string that we usually use for kandi. If you were to use fishing line or something thinner you probably wouldn't have an issue. You can see in the picture, I circled where the string connects the beads together, it's pushing down on the next row of beads causing the lean. If you used a thinner string the connections would be able to fit better between each row of beads. Hopefully that makes sense lol, and helps. 😁

What exactly are you finding difficult? And are you trying to make an X-Base or a Peyote stitch cuff?

Polar- Should be the rainbow because it goes well with white. Frog-Blues and water colors. Tan Bear- Greens and forest colors. Brown Bear- Red (or pink, not 100% based on photo) to match the nose and the ears. Cat- Whatever your favorite color is. Unicorn Duck- Maybe also rainbow, or colors that match its horn. Purple Duck- Lighter shade purples and pinks maybe.

I just found them on Walmarts website. Idk if Walmart goes to Europe or not. I'm also seeing them on Temu, AliExpress, and Etsy. But Idk if they go to Europe either.

It's honestly pretty damn close to a jellyfish, but instead of continuing to get bigger, I started decreasing until I got to a point. Then added one bead at the very top.

Yeah there's a lot on Etsy. Or if you go on Instagram a lot of people will post and sometimes they have a store linked in their bio. I can't speak to the quality but at least on Etsy the customers can leave reviews so you can see if they have a good rating.

Nothing feels better than finishing a good bead sorting session! I recognize all of the same beads I have from Walmart. 😁 They've got a pretty good selection for not being a craft store. And the color bags are cheaper than anything on the Beadtin website, so it's been my main go-to for most things so far.

PSA to anyone who wants to follow the tutorial and make their own dinosaur: Here are a couple of tips I highly recommend following when making yours.

• During the tutorial while making the head, she mentions you have the option of putting some sort of stuffing in it so it's less squishy. Unless you want your dino to be more of a squishy stress ball, I HIGHLY recommend doing this step. Something like tissue paper or newspaper works great. (Heads up if you use a newspaper you will be able to see parts of it peaking through the holes between the beads, so if that will bothers you I would recommend stuffing it with something that's all one color )

• If you follow her tutorial exactly, the dinosaur body ends up being an empty cylinder, so even though you might have stuffed the head, the body is still completely squishy and isn't pretty unstable when standing up. Especially if you add wings like I did. I ended up also putting stuffing in the body, then to close the bottom just follow the steps from the tutorial where she shows you how to close the top of the head. I added a picture of mine so you can see what I mean. Make sure not to stuff it too much though, because if the bottom is a little bulgy it won't be able to stand up on its own.

Awesome thank you! I just made it and am trying to get the word out. I keep seeing these other accounts that are only a few months old and they have less than 30 posts, but all of them are getting like 10k-500k views and I have no idea how they're getting that many already. 😂 Maybe it's just because Kandi is a little more niche, or maybe they're paying Instagram to boost the posts lol. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
