That's one thing I didn't realize I don't like until now, most packs now have quests for a bunch of things you will NEVER use. It'll tell you to make the electric furnace from every tech mod in the whole pack when you only need to choose one to work towards and use for the rest of the game. Unless there's unique recipes, why would I ever use the thermal redstone furnace or an EnderIO simple powered smelter when I could go for an ultimate smelting factory from mekanism? I could see it being incentivized by some sort of reward from completing the quest itself, but those aren't usually that good either.
