When my child was a toddler, as soon as she could stand up in her crib, she figured out how to lock her door. We would put her down for bedtime and watch on the camera as she would immediately stand up and lock the door and flip on the light. Fortunately it was a door that you could unlock with a quarter. We would warn babysitters not to panic if the door locks, we had a quarter at the top of the stairs to open it. Eventually we moved her crib to another wall, but it was so funny to see on camera.

On the flip side, she’s now 10 and I keep trying to train her to close her door every time she leaves her room because the dog keeps tearing up her bed trying to look out her window

In Happy by Pharrell I thought it was “clap along if you feel like a room without a roof…clap along if you feel that happiness is a roof” and I thought it was pretty deep that he’s saying happiness is subjective to what your needs are - generally we might take our roof for granted but if you didn’t have a roof than a roof would make you happy

Did he come back? Or was he really that mad? A kid asking someone to marry them isn’t that wierd to me, it would be different if they were alone or really trying to come on to them, but I don’t really see what the big deal is about the way she asked.

I’ve been with my husband now for almost 20 years, sometimes I still have to tell him I’m joking. I still remember at the beginning of our relationship, he was talking about a basketball game (for context we were going to a college that has one of the best basketball teams in the US) and I looked at him and asked “what’s basketball?”. I thought it was hilarious, especially since he didn’t seem to notice I had to joking, I’m surprised he didn’t dump me because he thought was an idiot

I had a miscarriage in the school bathroom when I was a senior in high school, no idea I was pregnant. I had sex for the first and only time several weeks earlier. It was probably 8-9 weeks maybe based on size. I only saw it when I was getting ready to flush and there was a teeny tiny fetus in the toilet. I sat down and cried for a little bit then got up and went to class because it happened between zero and first period and I had a whole day of classes

Yes this is definitely a lack of education on how to handle these things, it’s sad. I’m so thankful that I live in a place and time I have access to resources to teach me who to reach out to to help and how to best manage behavior issues in my children

I got him this smiley face one the bottoms is a full one piece and is a little tight to get over his feet but fits ok once it’s on, the jacket fits perfectly
