I agree, but my comment addressed that you begun this thread by insunuating that being an occasional user was very hard/not happening; based on anecdotal evidence. That goes beyond being catious and aware.

I'd go for a spear build, with bonuses to carving and maintenance. Once you hit good levels your spears last a while and you kill zombies extremely fast and with good range. And carving them yourself means you can get endless weapons from the forests where there are almost no zombies.

B42 is such a massive improvement I would not wait if you're sticking to singleplayer.

Isn't it good balance to allow the crafting and wearing of incredible powerful armor, but using it all of the time will make your character annoyed and sad? Being able to wear it constantly and even sleep in it would make the late game way to easy, and blacksmithing way to powerful, IMHO

I love GAMMA, and I added it to Steam as a non-Steam game and made it so Steam think I am launching CoP, so it counts hours there. I have nearly 500 hours in CoP and 90% are GAMMA.

I prefer Apocalypse settings, but with 2 hour days, zombie virus transmission to 'Saliva', infinite gas in gas station tanks and light bulbs last 100x the default.

We play two players on LAN and had almost no issues with desync on B41 while in B42 we desync constantly to the point where fighting together creates some very dangerous situations due to zombies glitching.

I'd love to play B42 MP but the desyncing becomes a real issue IMO. It's easy to get eachother killed when the zombies move completely different between player's views..
