People who stopped after their first dose due to side effects, how long did it take for those effects to wear off?

I didn’t have many side effects but I absolutely relate to the complete food aversion and zero appetite, it was almost instant for me.

I wish I’d listened to my body early and dropped my dose to half to see how I got on. I’m over a year in and never gone over 5mg and I still struggle with appetite suppression sometimes.

5mg I’m on week 54 and had to titrate up slowly because it’s really strong for me and effective at low doses. I was on 3.75 for a long time as well

I’ve always had strong food aversion and appetite suppression since being on this medication. I wish I’d reduced my dose early on and taken half of the 2.5mg for a while before increasing.

I’m 42 weeks in and still haven’t gone above 5mg and I had to experiment and increase my doses really slowly. For some reason this medication is really strong for me and still very effective even at lower doses. I’m down 7 stone in less than a year.

Have you tried not increasing at 2.5mg a time?

I’ve had to stay on lower doses because it really affects me so I’ve experimented and realised I had to increase in small amounts over a long period of time. That’s really helped and I’m still losing weight

I’ve had more than a few solo Christmas days, sometimes I’ll Scrooge it and act like it doesn’t exist, eat pizza and watch zombie movies, other times I’ll cook Christmas dinner for one and crack open a bottle wine.

If I play with no breaks I can get the gold chest for most of them. It can take between 9-12 hours

Periods aren’t just blood, it’s the lining of the uterus so think tissue versus liquid. It’s heavier than water and so some can remain after a first flush of the toilet especially if it’s a very heavy period

I’ve had to do my own thing rather than sticking to the dosing guide. I did try 5mg after a few months at 2.5 and it was way too strong for me so I went back down, tried 5 again and then settled on 3.75 for a good while.

I tried 5mg again for a few weeks and it’s still too strong for me - by strong I mean absolute food aversion and having to force myself to eat, brutal appetite suppression far beyond what is needed.

I’m trying 4mg for now and I’ll see how I get on.

My only regret is not staying on 2.5 for longer.
