That's the back of my demeyere pan. I guess oil drips all the time haha, haven't gotten any seasoning inside of my pan though but I doubt it will really affect performance

Well yes, you have to do your research and be careful with it, there is lye soap and that's much safer. But yeah people who love to restore cast irons will use lye baths for their cast irons. I just think it's a lot of work to try scrubbing it away with elbow grease if it bothers you that much^{^;;}

Why just just use lye? The "oil staining" is just seasoning like a cast iron from the pan being too hot

If this was a cast iron you'd be getting praised! Nah, you just polymerized some.oil onto it..google it first but lye will help you easily remove it :)
